the highest one theoretically is somewhere around the 9.5 area, and that happens if three rifts act up together and form one huge rift whoch would CRACK THE EARTH LIKE AN EGG.
Anything more than 10 in the scale is either shit or a MASSIVE ROCK landing in earth and obliterating it.

Obliterating the earth would take more force than what mankind can generate; possibly more power than what has been generated by mankind in the entire course of human history.
I seriously doubt the shifting of the comparatively tiny, thin crust would destroy the earth, even if it was life-ending-catastrophic to all of its inhabitants.

I'm pretty sure the women who is pushing for the rapture beginning this month, who sold her home and possessions to pay for a one way to Iraq to spread the message, said the 21st was when it would begin and it would end in October.

If it doesn't happen I'll feel bad for her, she seemed quite pleasant as far as deluded fanatics go. I mean I'd rather feel bad for her than feel hell on earth made manifest, but it's still polite not to openly root for her embarrassing self induced poverty.

I'm pretty sure it won't happen. I'm not saying it can't, even logically, but on any given day the odds are astronomically low, and each day is about as likely as the next.

We should be a little genuinely worried about active super volcanoes though.
