The way to make any dream a lucid dream is to realize that you're dreaming.
Or something along those lines...

Usually whenever I have lucid dreams I end up fighting some werewolf vampire thing.
I don't know what that says about me.
Probably means I watch too much anime...

Also, I've heard that if your trying to fly but having trouble, your supposed to try running up the wall first.

The worst dreams are about things you really want or people you like, because when you wake up with your face against a cold wall Its like being kicked In the balls.

If you're going to pursue this kind of thing on a regular basis, the only thing I can say is be careful. Not everything or everyone you meet in this kind of state is going to have your safe return as their main priority. Learn how to protect yourself in an out of body state.

Also, you remember only about 1 in a million dreams, so keeping a dream journal sometimes have been known to help manipulate dreams.
umm actually..... (according to my limited psychological study knowledge -) You dream when in REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, and it has been proven that if you are woken up in this period of sleep, you are vastly more likely to remember having a dream - so its not really 1 in a million, unless you are never interrupted in sleep.
Be that as it may, not everyone is woken up in the REM period.
I was just saying, because I think 1 in a million is too high, even considering the small fraction of time you spend in REM sleep compared to just sleeping in general
It's just one of those useless facts that I remember from watching the discovery channell too much.
