So... Was anyone else disapointed by the design of DIABLO?

Yes, we know Leah was female, but Diablo is not bound by the body of the host, and I mean this in a literal sense. He can, and does, shape his victim's body to his desire, including all the muscles and the horns and the bone structure. EVERY-FUCKING-THING.
The whole reason Diablo tricked the Warrior into taking his Soulstone at the end of the first game was to get a stronger host, and the reason Baal is the most powerful of the Prime Evils in Diablo II is because his host is a powerful Mage, which to me implies that the Host has at least some Impact on their capabilities/form (and the fact that the WARRIOR was the hero he picked to be his next host suggests it's not just magic power either...)

Diablo could've turned much much worse actually in D3. You do know who he possessed right? He . . .
looks more feminine because his vessel was Leah.
I could show a pic of some of Diablo's previous design ideas that could've made him look like a bimbo instead. I just would need to look through the Behind the scenes disc however. So just ask if you want the pic.

I felt the game could've been much better if it ditched the online and the pre-made worlds. Because that could've reduced a lot of costs in production and make a much, much better game. Also item system tends to be wonky and imbalanced in many areas along with many others areas as well as class/ leveling areas. So it was disappointing for me at least.

P.S Is my post too long? I'm suck at posting anything short.

Actually I think Diablo looks superior in this game to the previous two, based on the pictures of him/it above - he/she's at least doubled in height and all the spikes are there. The graphics look definitely superior, based on a youtube video of the fight I just watched (haven't gotten the game yet). I guess he's like the xenomorph in Aliens 3 - he takes on some of the characteristics of the host, which is kinda cool.

I can see how they'd affect Diablo's capabilities, but not form. After the complete metamorphosis that the dark wanderer and the kid before him went through - the exact same one, basically - what reason is there to believe he wouldn't do the same to Leah, really? And after Tal Rasha grew four insect legs? Why are those child bearing hips, weaksauce muscles and bone structure there?
If I had to wager a guess then from what I know (not much) I'd say it might be because Diablo had ages to slowly corrupt and transform Albrecht and the Wanderer, whereas his transformation of Leah seems to have been done in the span of a few seconds after Imperius forced him to.

I saw the Worldstone being described as the thing that kept demons from invading Sanctuary. Is that true? Because if it is, the whole conversation is moot on a whole 'nother level.
(One of) The purpose(s) of the Worldstone was to keep the world of Sanctuary hidden from Angels and Demons while Humanity grew.

i do like how diablo looks more armored and a lethal killing machine. But he is too top heavy, I do not understand how he can walk at all, especially considering how weak and little his lower body is.

Then again, I readily accepted the design of Bahamut from FF7 Advent Children where his entire body is armored in metal, yet uses insect wings (see through thin membranes) to stay afloat.

This is true! He doesn't look very threatening. I always imagined he'd be bigger and more muscular based on those wallpapers I saw floating about the web before the game came out.

Although I sort of enjoyed the boss fights. My favourite is still Azmodan, just because he's bigger and mobile.

I'm surprised nobody has yet suggested that Blizzard are pandering to ethnic minorities by making Tyrael black. And yes, people have said shit like that on other forums. It's funny because racism.

On topic: I thought the fight itself was lacking up through Normal, Nightmare and Hell. In Hell the blue packs and yellow mobs start getting seriously difficult, but the named bosses are still pretty trivial (Belial is probably the only one the requires some sort of strategy). Not having much luck in Inferno yet though. I need to brush up on my kiting skills [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gK1SmUKTq14].

Effeminate, you say?

I can think of one very effeminate final boss that was very effective:

On topic, having looked online, Diablo in Diablo III looks a lot like Alien from the Alien movies...and this seems fine by me. I think that it's an effective final boss, and seems threatening enough because of that tail and stuff. Seems "swift."

I mostly agree;
Diablo in D3 plays almost exactly like he did in D2. He only offers that shadow realm. He's got this black soulstone powering him up and he's almost identical in terms of power and mechanics.
Diablo's boobs annoy me too. It was not a good design choice considering they did NOTHING with the change. They gave him a sex change, ffs! It's not terrifying. It's just disturbing.

I heard complaints about the story too. What I disliked most was Belial. The lord of lies who suddenly admits he's the LoL's when you say so?
Someone suggested that the entire raid on the castle should have been Belial casting hallucinations on you and that you just killed some kid thinking it was him. Also, Adria could have been Belial's hidden form and carried with you onto act 3 where he's outed by Azmodan as he storms the town with all his previous doings to lure you away from town, ect.
Then, you fight both Evils at once (or one kills the other and you take on Azmodan).
Leah, instead should have release Diablo in his true form versus getting possessed. (He shouldn't NEED a host anymore with the Worldstone destroyed, right?)
Leah then being a willing spy for Diablo all this time.

I would have really liked to have fought one of the Angel's too.

What REALLY gets on my nerves is having the lore books POP-UP in front of my screen every time I click one for the XP. I DO NOT need to see them EVERY SINGLE TIME!!
I don't mind hearing them talk about it, but I NEED to NOT see the words popping up on the left side of my screen blocking out 1/3 of it.

I don't quite like the [EVENT] blocking the MIDDLE of my screen either. God, DAMN that's stupid.

My main problem with the game is that they've managed to make a shallow game franchise even more shallow.
There's literally nothing to do except farm items. Not even PvP.
12 years to boil down a thin soup to mere water.
Tasteless and stale.

I can only bring me to start the game up when I've got friends to play with.
I didn't have that problem with the first two games

Wait... Diablo has boobs? Where exactly?
Well, they usually appear on the upper part of the chest, sometimes around the midsection if you have friends that are artists and like to draw furry porn and don't mind linking you their art in a public location without warning as to its content so you can look like a fucking weirdo to the people around you.

I'm sorry, what were we talking about?

When you see it, you will either shit brix or have the weirdest boner. Or both. Whatever floats your boat.
