I bought Solar 2, but apparently it's not the Summer Sale, just a Regular Sale That Happens To Have Occurred During Summer.
Well, it still only cost £3.49, which is good because I only had £5.01 in my bank account. Um, I think I'm literally broke. Games, help me escape reality for a little while!

Well since I already own Recettear and the Borderlands all-DLC dealies, I can't buy those, but I recommend Recettear wholeheartedly.

Just bought Blood Bowl because apparently there's eleven new teams I never knew about? Huh.

I'm eyeing The Witcher 2 but I'm not sure if I'll like it. I've heard mostly good things though, and the only negatives was it's very in-depth.

You could probably do to look a bit harder for reviews then, lots of criticism has been made about W2, from our very own ZP to Penny Arcade and more.

Still looking, but I was thinking about Space Trader: Merchant Marine, the X2/X3 Pack and Borderlands GOTY. Has anyone played the first two? How are they?

yes yes, two swords? Drinking before combat? Confusing inventory?
These are aspects of the game you learn about. But if the combat's shite and the writing and VA is piss-poor then it's just not cricket dear boy.

Haven't made up my mind yet. I'm gonna be getting a new computer sometime this year so I'm hesitant to buy new games (it won't be a gaming computer. Most likely will be another laptop, because...thats what fits my needs).

The combat IS shite. Read the reviews.

Don't buy Deus Ex. That's an insanely high price. It routinely goes on sale for less than $3.

I paid 10 cents for my copy.

So far I've bought Oblivion GotY Complete, Borderlands GotY, and the VALVe Complete Pack. I have a prediction I will be buying many more soon.

OH GOD THE SAVINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT:
Add the Magicka Complete Pack to that list. XD

Nothing yet, I'm a bit strapped for cash and I've actually already got a couple games on the proverbial backlog. Still, it's always worth keeping an eye on these deals for any particularly intriguing deals.

Did pick up a game from GOG's summer sale, Earthworm Jim. But beyond that haven't bought many games recently.

Many reviews praise the combat in Witcher 2 as being fantastic, and I myself rather enjoyed it. Matter of opinion here.

Personally I'd say go for it, Witcher 2 is a solid experience and if you're intrigued and you've got the cash, might as well pick it up while it's on sale.

Snagged Borderlands. Played it a good bit for PS3 when it first released, but as a rental. Always wanted to buy it, but never got around to it. Now's the time!

Nothing.

Well, nothing for myself. Got a $200 gifting budget for whatever my friends might want, though. Par for the course, as Steam sales go.

Looking at Deus Ex, Portal 2, and Frozen Synapse. I was waiting for just such a Steam occasion to buy most of my summer games, so I'm EXTREMELY EXCITED! :DDDDD

I'm in the same boat as many people here, ie not really having the wonga but buying shit regardless.
Heck, I'm even considering buying that Magic 2012 game even though I can't actually beat the demo, and that's on the easiest setting.
