Yeah you're right. They had to devise a whole lot of different manoeuvres for holding the guns during parades, and it really doesn't look right. They also don't sound right, there were lots of distinctive rattles and cracks as they moved those long rifles around.II2 said:Watched a bit. Was interested by the security detail. TL;DR - The short modern rifles don't look quite right on these dudes ^ for ceremony.
Also a modern weapon looks kind of weird with a bayonet on it.
