I have to say dragon age:2 , metroid other M and LA noire. Especially LA noire. It was suppose to be the game of the year , but they dropped the ball.

Brink a thousand times over. I can't believe I was excited for that gigantic turd pile.

Space Marine was also a letdown because the multiplayer was virtually unplayable for about a month. I'm talking about waits of over 8 hours to join a game. But that has now been fixed, and it's a lot of fun to play, so, water under the bridge and all that.

So, I pre-ordered BF3 and needless to say, it was fairly disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I love the game and I'll probably play it a whole bunch more but it didn't exactly launch well. Lag, glitches and a dumb green flicker ruined the hype I waited through at first, but it seems they have fixed a number of those issues. So, I ask you, what game launch made you most upset?

never listen to pre game hype, and always wait a day after a big purchase, that way no one sours your opinion with exaggerations.

God of War 3... game's great, except the launch party here SUCKED. it was just a bunch of people in a line, no give-aways, no food, no anything, it had as much passion as someone standing in a supermarket line.

GT5. Ended up getting past the menu flaws after a while and enjoying the game, but damn did it make a bad first impression (especially given all the time it had in development).

Medal of Honor reboot. I was happy with the multiplayer beta, but i didn't expect that what i saw in the beta would exclusively be the entire multiplayer content.

Red Orchestra 2

Great game, but the launch was a mess. Almost nothing worked.
At least they keep updating it.

Final Fantasy 14.

well, the closed beta at least (which opened a few weeks before the actual launch).

I tried so hard to like the game.....but SE was having NONE of that.

Hellgate London, hands down.. so much potential, lost by feature creep, running out of funds and lack of real support.

Probably LA Noire after that... it promised so much but basically turned into quick time events made harder by the technology they developed especially for the game.

I guess your right, Jeg. I just loved past BF games so much I couldn't help myself. Plus I played the beta and thought they'd fix the problems.

I can't remember a launch I thought was terrible. Most recent was Deus Ex : Human Revolution, I guess? I had to wait a day or two for a patch to make it run but it really didn't bother me. I must just have low standards or be too forgiving.

Oh god, yes. The first day or so I was so pumped to play it, and then it very quickly imploded and playing online was like going to a funeral with more explosions.

Fable 2. Fable 1 was a good rpg, just not anything what Peter Molyneux had said. Fable 2 was really boring. Just boring.
this, but I can make it worse, far worse. Me and some friends were massive Fable fans, we spent all our time on a fable fan forum and were convinced that the arival of fable II would be the biggest thing since... sliced bread! We spent the days leading up to launch replaying Fable TLC covering all the missions as a hero and villian, discussed the back story of Jack of Blades and the Court that had lead to the events of Fable. We stocked the fridge and cupboards with handy gaming fare and were first in line that cold friday morning to get our geeky mits on the game.

Needless to say within the next few hours the grand delusion crumbled and our hearts were broken

black ops. game didn't launch for 12 hours after the release, didn't unlock on steam. then when it did, it was fucking awful. the amount of glitches and lag made it nigh on unplayable on multiplayer, and when it did work, it was just worse than previous CoD games...

Fallout: New Vegas. Thing was broken from the very first time I started it up.
For me NV didn't get bugg until I tried to enter the strip. 50 hours not a freeze, bug , or glitch but afterward, Jesus H God Dancing Christ the bugs.
