My avatar is invariably a heroine from a Type-Moon work[footnote]Except for Assassin, that one Halloween week. He got a pass.[/footnote], who I switch out every so often. It's Akiha's turn this time around.

Didn't think so. But it was funny.
Mine is Colin Firth playing as Harry Hart from Kingsman: The secret service. I picked it because Colin Firth is my favourite actor, and Kingsman is one of my favourite films, so it is perfect for me. I managed to find it after a friend of mine sent it me on my Facebook feed, and I liked it so much that I saved it and decided to utilise it as my profile picture on this site.
Currently, my avatar is a ninja bird with a katana, something I found during a browse through google images. Previous avatars include a Floramon (when I was taking part in a Digimon RP on this site), and a screen clip of most of the main cast from Strong Bad's Cool Game for Awesome People. I don't know if I want to change it again, maybe if I find something good.

My avatar is a lion on fire. I chose it because I recently had a powerful spiritual experience in shamanic rituals where I was shone that that is the frequency of my soul (a solar lion)
In Los Angeles and a couple other west coast cities, Halloween lasts about two weeks. The parties start a week before and go through the week after until Day of the Dead. Depending on whether or not Halloween falls on a weekend the frequency of parties for 20-somethings can vary some.
Unlike the town where I grew up being an adult at a Halloween party in LA requires you follow the dress code and indulge the kid inside you while drowning the adult in you in adult drinks and adult indulgences.

My current one is a moment from the music video for Lady Gaga's "Applause" that I print screened and cropped in Paint because I'm lazy, as is the case with most of my avatars. There seems to be a pointless aura of superiority from the pose that I love, so I took it.
I love her music, and I love the spectacle she provides in various ways as an added bonus. "Applause" is my favourite music video by her, and this is actually the second time I've used this avatar (and may not be the last), and the second avatar I've used from that music video. I would post others, but like I said they're just images on my PC so I'm not sure how to post them like I would other images.
However I can post the first: which was a picture of Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3, largely for my love of the character, also because I had recently played the game for the first time quite recently before first joining these forums.

Fuu Hououji from Rayearth. Manga made a big impact on me in my late teens, Fuu herself doubly so. Read better manga since, but still consider the manga and character to be my faves. A friend made the avatar for me for the anime board I was part of at the time, and been using it since. (though annoyed the best art of her always seems to leave out her glasses)

Well it may be a brief and uninteresting story, but I guess I can tell it.
I've sort of gotten into this routine of replacing my avatar every month/month and a half, given how I'd like to be prepared to change it anytime for Halloween, March Madness, Christmas, etc..
Since October is right around the corner, I don't plan on keeping this for too long, but I just wanted something that I related to the month of September.
Originally I wanted to use a really cool album cover I like, but there wasn't enough detail for me to use it satisfyingly. So instead I went with Peridot from Steven Universe since the show was coming back this month.
I was initially going to use other avatars for Peridot, but they either wouldn't upload or wouldn't move as a gif, so I went with this instead, which might have been the best of the bunch in retrospect.
The images were these:

If I could, I'd get a gif of him hanging off of his natural habitat, the mineshaft ceiling. But you're on a rail on the portion of the level and those were the days of no "collision detection Y/N" console commands so I, with my lack of hax0r knowledge, am unable to fulfill such dreams.
