So, what's your RPG weapon?

I was thinking recently, if I was transported into an RPG, what weapon would I use?

When thinking about this, I realized that ANYTHING could be a valid weapon in an RPG, so there was no need to limit myself. Why stick to a boring sword and shield?

Just as a reference, here's a brief list of some of the things that have been RPG weapons: Tennis racket, paper fan, boxing gloves, a spork, a giant candy cane, a shield (as the primary weapon), guns, possessed dolls, a skateboard, a volleyball, a calculator, baseball bat, mech suit, shoes, portable nuke launcher, books, playing cards, guitar, boomerang, and a fishing rod.

As a great blonde sensei once said, "In the hands of a ninja, anything is a weapon... even this breakfast sausage!" (cookie to whoever gets the reference)

Anyways, I personally would go with a shinai (a bamboo training sword):

As for me, a Fish Slice. or Egg Flip, whichever you call it. I picture myself catching swords and knives in the slits, and twisting it around to disarm opponents.

Well, if I was in one of those RPGs where every weapon is unbreakable and you never need to worry about ammo... I'd go with cell phone bombs... weapon upgrades could be twofold: better cell phones with GPS options and such... and better explosives (ie. start with black powder and move up to C4 eventually... then maybe to mini-nukes).

*steps up and tosses a package to enemy, then whips a cell phone out of hammerspace and calls it*

Guitars. Mines would be guitars. I'd weild it like a two handed sword though, buster swordish, and every strike would be accompanied by a satisfying KERWANH lol

In a generic medieval-esque fantasy table-top RPG: longsword.

In a sci-fi table-top RPG: blaster (if available), if not, then a standard revolver.

In Final Fantasy: Magitek Armor.

I'm gonna go with the Assault Rifle from Fallout 3 and if guns weren't allowed I would have to go with a Katana or some form of sword. Nothing obscenely large, but something I could carry in one hand if I needed to, "Run and Gun".

I deign to use a Demon Prince from Warhammer 40k. Not a Demon Prince bound to a weapon or anything like that, but an actual Demon Prince of Khorne, being wielded by me like a sword, against hordes of opponents. Can you think of the carnage?

Enemy: NOW, in the name of the Dark Lord Cuddleybut, you will perish! Draw your weapon and fight me coward!

Me: Okay.

Weapon: BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

Halberd, Morningstar, or Flail. Such underused weapons in RPG formats. Or, I'd be an archermage, and have a magically drawn crossbow, requiring so much energy to draw that a single bolt could fell trees.
