Sonic resonance weapon. Enjoy having every bone in your body turned to dust.

I would go for Irony and wield a set of dice, not to focus magic or anything dumb like that, but to beat people to death.

Seriously: dual knives juggling them to confuse opponents.

Not Serious: a cane using the curved end to trip and pull etc like a less dangerous version of a billhook

Definitely a scythe. Not a whole lot of RPG's with scythes though.
Scythes are actually difficult to use as weapons, especially without any experience.

It would depend on the RPG but I'm going to go with a Police baton, specifically a Canadian Police baton.

My dong A gauntlet and a one handed sword. I just like the idea of being able to guard and grapple people with the same arm while slicing them up with the other.

Either:
A lance (I can hit someone, and then launch a rocket at them

Or the beam lance/shield (I'm INVINCIBLE)
Yes I've been playing Valkyria Chronicls

Or an enchanted Bo staff
Or the special spear from Dresden files (incindery rounds on both ends, enchanted, has garlic/holy water)
Or the garlic/holy water paintball gun...hmm...

"Bearclaws", probably. Two huge scythe-like weapons extended from the upper side of your forarm, held in place by leather straps. Think Wolverine, but only two claws, and heavier.

Since a scythe was already taken, I'll say kama (hand-scythe) or a kusarigama (chain-scythe).

They're pretty effective weapons with a nice foreign touch.

Look it up on Wikipedia if you're interested in what they look like and how they work, since I don't know how to embed images.

well, my personality leans towards magic, but just to be awesome and freak out my enemies, i would have a cannon which can fire whatever drink i wish it to, one where i can adjust the pressure of the blast.

two uses.
1: high powered vodka knocks my enemies out against the walls and disorients them because of the alcohol content (or sends them flying off of a building, but i'd try to avoid that one. it'd be really gooey and i don't like killing things)
2: on low-power, i can drink it (i would carry a self-cleaning cup). why not? i can choose the drink that i'm in the mood for and it won't leave me disoriented (because of alcohol). if i need a quick drink during a shoot-out (which i would because i never drink enough and my body is just about as efficient as using my drink cannon to try to defeat the sea on the water setting) or got trapped in the desert, then it could well save my ass.

A huge maul, like the warcraft three paladin has... Good for smashing heads and hammering in nails...

Swords never go out of fashion, no matter what time period you're in. So, naturally, i'll pick the sword used by Caim in Drakengard:

It's a cool sword that does all around decent damage, and gives the owner the ability to shoot fireballs as well.

Hmmm, Well...

What? You mean practical? Okay, fine...

Akimbo'd, of course, with one of these...

Basically just like the other, but can open to three blades, and can catch and break other blades.
