I pre-ordered it and picked up the day it released. I played Ico first, simply because I had played both, but with Ico second, so this time I wanted to play them in the order they released. I can say with absolute certainty now that Ico is one of the greatest works of art in the history of ever. I expect my second playthrough of Shadow of the Colossus to reflect my opinion that it was even better, so I'm psyched to start that.

Also, I have "You Were There," the theme for Ico, stuck in my head. It's a stunningly beautiful song and it just won't leave...

It's a great tune, not nearly as epic as anything from SotC, but that's not a bad thing.

Ico was never about being epic.

Exactly. Despite having very similar visual aesthetics, both games are very different in exactly what kind of beauty they emanate. Both do; these two games are two of the most beautiful games I've ever played, even up there with the game from which your avatar comes (though again in a very different way). But Ico is a kind of subdued, focused beauty, whereas Shadow of the Colossus focused on unbelievable scale and thrilling, desperate battles (though also achieved much of the personal beauty that Ico did, especially in the heart-wrenching finale). Those differences are rather perfectly reflected in the two soundtracks.

Also, I agree; the Shadow of the Colossus soundtrack is epic, awesome, and freakin' awesome. It's so awesome, it's redundantly awesome. Heck, I've got some of the songs on the MP3 CD I listen to in my car. It's great.

I got this today, just out in the UK. Replaying Ico before I play Shadow of the Colossus for the first time.

The HD update looks pretty damn good, way better than before.

The reversible sleeve is a nice touch, just a clean ICO cover on the front, and SOTC on the back, with the game names on the sleeve. No other text or logos at all

How are the dynamic themes?

The vouchers aren't valid yet.

According to some guy behind it on Twitter, they're not available until the 10th of October.

Seems odd that they wouldn't be ready...

Edit: So did I, cardboard case, postcards and everything. I bought it on release day.

The dynamic themes for you to use on your PS Menu comes on the disc and is readily available for you to install and use right then and there. Unless I'm thinking of something different, because my game, brand new, came with no vouchers or codes.

I haven't played either game before I got the collection, and both are amazing.

This was the same for me, just downloaded them and used both Dynamic Themes. On your XMB menu there in the Extras bit under the game. The SotC one is cooler IMO. Anyway got these games from Gamefly cause I already played SotC and heard ICO was only five hours long. Now that I saw how awesome they look and play (Especially SotC) I'm probably going to keep em. I seriously couldn't beleive ICO was a ten year old game it looks amazing

I have never played ICO or SotC, I am glad I picked it up, and I am enjoying both games...even though I still haven't killed the first guys yet.
