I come here because the News seconds actually informs me of things I find interesting, and I love "Science!".

I joined because this is the first internet community filled with people that are usually intelligent, instead of blank-faced imbeciles, that-While possibly able to function in society-work on such a simple dry level that I sometimes just want to sit down and ask what killed the child in them.

I came here because the people here seemed genuinly nice and can actually have a decent discussion for once. Which is something I always enjoy.

I spent so much time watching the videos (I didn't read the articles back then), I thought I'd check out the forum. I don't gain a lot from the experience, to be honest, but I do enjoy giving my oppinion and scurrying away to the next thread of interest

I joined because it's the only gaming-related website and forum I have access to at my current job.

Because I couldn't resist the desire to explain to everyone in the forums exactly why they were wrong about everything. Only human, I suppose.

Because of the game developers tournament-thing. I'd been looking for a good place to discuss games anyway, and yeah, that's what finally made me join. Place seems awesome.

I joined after watching Zero Punctuation for awhile and then finally branching out into reading over the threads and watching other series. I got some great information from some threads and it seemed like a pretty awesome community of users at the time I signed up. Can't say I regret signing up for the site. I love it here.

I was drawn here by Zero Punctuation and I joinecd because I saw this as a place where I could enjoy video game related web series' and talk about video games without the vitrioloc fanboy rage that consumes much of the net. I really love it here, and hopefully I can make it through my seven days of probation so that I can stay here.

That's about it. I joined the Escapist because ZP drew me this way, then stuck around because most of the people are pretty awesome and I can talk about my favorite games without the "OMG ITS A GURL NOWAI" that I've run into.
