Well, aside from my computer, medication, and important documents (They're all right next to each other) I think I would grab my framed Primus poster autographed by Les Claypool, Larry LaLonde & Jay Lane. Their concert was awesome, and the money I spent on the poster went to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society because Les's nephew was diagnosed prior to the tour.

Pocket my wallet, put handhelds in their special satchel, sling that over my shoulder, then rip every cable from my computer and hope I don't drop it on my way out.

Thankfully most of my valuable stuff is packed away together, so let's hope for the best.

Given my room is next to a first-story window and therefore I can just toss a bunch of stuff out, I'd likely save my external (backup) hard drive that has everyone on my laptop and desktop, my 3DS, my backpack of Magic cards. My safe (though it's supposed to be fire-resistant), and I'd try to get my other gaming systems out. Maybe my signed LRR DVDs and posters, Pinny Arcade pins, etc little things that aren't easy to replace. Worst comes to worst, I can jam most of it in my backpack. If I had to choose just one, I'd cheat and throw the backpack around my arm and grab the harddrive as I dove out the window, action hero style.

Going for my full house... I dunno. I really don't have any 'prized possessions' or anything that's really close to me. I'd be super sad to lose my movies, games, etc. And, of course, I'd be super sad to lose my home and everything in it. But a lot of my games are on Steam anyways. Those that aren't, at least I'd have the save files the way I just mentioned. Some of the bigger things I'd want are the arcade machines, but I wouldn't be able to get those out even if I wanted to.

Video game consoles/handhelds, and all my favorite games. If I had time, my laptop and Master Sword. After a fire it's dangerous to go alone, take a Master Sword!

Other than those things I can't think of much I would want to save, the house itself is a lot more important than most of the things in it to be honest.

My laptop. It cost me $1200.00 dollars, and there's no guarantee the fire would destroy the evidence I have years of work and projects on it!

Since I live in less than a 300 sq.foot apartment, I'm gonna assume you're talking about the apartment building, since a fire in this place is most likely gonna automatically trap me inside and kill me.

Granted, all the walls in this apartment building are fire proof but I'll indulge you and throw out the obvious answer: I'd throw my laptop into my backpack + whatever nicknack that fits there, that I'd can grab and throw in there and maybe try to grab my tabletop, while I'm at it. Ignoring the fact that I want to save the data, those two computers are probably the most financially valuable things in here, ignoring some of the heavy furniture that you can't exactly valiantly dash out with.

It would definitely be my laptop.

My laptop has years worth of pictures, documents, videos, music and games on it so I would save it mostly for that reason. Losing all of that would be devastating(also the thing is only a year old and it was expensive). Everything of any other major importance(birth certificate, ect) is stored in a fire box, so it would survive just fine.

I might grab my 3DS at the same time, since I have them sitting right next to eachother.

If I could only take one thing out of the house, I'd take...the fire. Didn't see that one coming, eh?

Since I'm actually kinda paranoid about something like this happening, I have a backpack full of stuff that I'd want to save in a jiffy.

Ehh, let the fucker burn. I'm piss poor already, hopefully the damage done will be extensive enough to warrant more government help (fat chance) to pay for my other already piling bills.

My juggling equipment... seriously, I have invested far too much money into this hobby over the last 6 months, it'd crush me to have to build up the collection again.

I have a pair of statues that belonged to different great-grandparents, so I'd grab those. Everything else I could probably replace (not necessarily cheaply or easily, but still) - the combination of age and sentimental value makes it no contest.

Laptop. The TV, the PS3, the books, and anything else I could survive with being burned, I would cry for a while for the books though. But not my laptop. It cannot burn, cost me to much money to buy it and I sure as hell can't replace it.
Same here. This thing is kind of important to me.

I'm kind of surprised that no one mentioned this before, but I'd have to go in after the marshmallows. Some people want to watch the world burn. Meanwhile, I'll be roasting marshmallows while it does, since there's not one damned thing I could do about it.
