Facebook for the chat and stalking purposes.
I don't have any because:
a) I have email.
b) I have unlimited text.
c) I can socialize outside the internet.
d) I know some friends that have some profiles on facebook, myspace, and twitter where they almost screwed up their lives with their friends just because they're on those sites.

Is it just me or am I the only one who thinks texting a conversation longer than a quick question and answer is a waste of time? I mean, come on. If you're going to spend that much time typing, just call the person and talk. It'll go much quicker.rockingnic said:

Yes but you see, calling costs a lot of money and it can also be too personal just to say hey or whats up.
Plus with text you can have meaningless convos over 40 minutes rather then sit on the phone with someone, noone likes to be called just for a meaningless hey how are you.

I actually never use texting unless the situation calls for it. Like if I was at least a half an hour away from someone, driving distance, I would text if it was just something brief. That and if far away and just wanted something with instant feedback or have something that can be done in a sentence or two like telling someone to pick something up. I only text about 10 times (separate messages) a day if I do just to meet up with friends or whatever.Mythbhavd said:

i barely use twitter because it's pointless.
i only use myspace to check up on my girlfriend.
Now Facebook, for teens at least, is like an entire information center for that person, with photos, what you like or dislike. It really cuts down on the introduction part when you meet someone new.

I only have a facebook. I use it to keep in touch with my friends from high school who I don't get to see much anymore, and it's a lot easier than texting them all the time. Also, I got a twitter account a while back just for laughs, but I haven't used it in a year or so.
