Society of Justice 3: Crisis on the Earth

"I told you I would make breakfast, you must have simply forgotten in your sleep," Leland replied as he placed the plate of food in front of her after taking another bite of it.

"I have to say I'm quite surprised that you went back to sleep, must have been a lot more tired than I thought. So I think the more nerdy members are going to go and play a game whilst most of the others are going to watch Tyson and Alex's fight. Not sure if you care about either though," Leland said with a slight shrug, his hand finding it's way to her back and trailing down to her leg, "I'm slightly tempted to go and watch the fight myself, but that's just me."

Taryn leaned back in her chair and glanced around the suddenly rather empty kitchen. "It looks like Jason left." she said. "As well as most of the others. She mentally recounted her entrance. "I don't think I've seen Brian at all today. We could track the COD players down or wait and ask when they come back..." she trailed off slightly and shrugged. She had no real plans for the day.

"Ehh... I'll pass on both of those," Katie answered, pulling her shirt on over her head before she sat up properly to eat. It appeared to be some kind of large vegetable omelette; no matter what the ingredients were besides the obvious eggs, cheese and veges, Katie liked it and it tasted good. She gave Leland another smile as she ate, letting him know in ways besides his mind-reading which she still disliked.

"I've got a third option for you; stay here and cuddle with me," she offered, placing one hand on the arm he had rested on her leg. "Just cuddles, though. Save the more... intimate moments for later, eh?"

Alex smirked and sent a wave of gray light in cased in ice, the light was her light and dark powers. "Good luck with that." she smirked getting up bracing for hand to hand fighting, she knew she didn't have time to form a sword with her ice but she didn't care.

She charged her hands with gray light dancing around them. "I hope your ready to fight a cat women. I may be a pretty face but this pretty face is something you don't want to mess with." she mused taking a fighting stance.

"So do you think Alex will win?" Eric said to Richard. "I know since she came back from Tibet her powers have grown exponentially but still." he said.

Leland nodded as he heard Katie's option, taking a second to think it through before agreeing with it. "I have to say your proposition easily trumps the others. And I'm also glad to see that you like the frittata. I decided to not add in any meat since we only had bacon and that doesn't really go very well with the rest of the flavors in my opinion," Leland replied as he laid his head against her side.

"You know I have this odd feeling something is going to happen later that'll keep us from spending the whole day together. These things just seem to always happen. I'm just waiting for my brother to give the word," he said with an exaggerated sigh.

Katie groaned sympathetically, lifting her hand up to gently touch Leland's cheek. "Oh, sweetie... please don't say jinxing things is a trait in the family or something. Though if something does come up, I'd like it to be a nice easy bank robbery or jailbreak. That way we can get it done sooner rather than later and we can spend more of the day together." She smiled at the prospect before taking another bite of food.

"Unless, of course, Mordtoten or the Union have anything to do with it. Those days are never pretty," she added after she finished chewing.

Tyson saw an ice wave emitting a gray light from inside it heading towards him. A screech was emitted by Tyson and the ice cracked but didn't break. Raising his arms and moved through the wave Tyson was thrown off balance and lost speed before closing the gap between him and Alex. The plates on Tyson's arms cracked and broke as he threw a punch while saying, "I'll make your face match your personality."

"Tsk it doesn't run in the family. I don't think it's ever happened to me...it's always Garrus that does it and he's busy sleeping so we should be fine on that," Leland responded as he closed his eyes, enjoying Katie's gently touch against his cheek.

At the word 'Union' Leland made a slight frown, deciding to ignore that part of what Katie had said. "Well if it's Mordtoten doing things that just means we'll probably have to head over to Kent and scold him; shouldn't be too hard. A bank robbery sounds kinda nice actually, hell perhaps my brother could just take the new members and we can stay here to relax and such."

"Hmm, that's a tough one to answer. Alex and Tyson both have experience, albeit of different kinds. With Alex as a former gang member and Tyson a former trooper team leader, both have been in fights of varying degrees of brutality. Alex may be more powerful, but we don't know how Tyson is already. I would say Alex will win, but it will probably be a close fight." Richard replied as he held his chin in thought.

"Well I for one don't have a doubt in my mind she'll kick his ass. Isn't that right Renton?" Lillian said, the baby speaking some random gibberish as response as he picked the grass.

 

[CounterAttack]

"Mmm, yes. I do enjoy... 'relaxing' with you," Katie answered with a giggle. "But that can wait until later tonight." Figuring she had eaten enough, she set the plate on a nearby shelf jutting out of the wall. It normally served as a nightstand for Katie's communicator, car keys, watch and other small necessities.

"In the meantime..." Katie trailed off as she laid back down on the bed, her arms gently encircling Leland as he lay beside her. She leaned over and gently kissed him, holding it until he made the next move.

Alex jumped back to evade his attack. "Oh then tell me who you think I am. I'm curious really. After all you've only known me for a few days yet it seems you think you know me." Alex said then ran at him with superhuman speed and jumped up at the last second and kicked him in the back of the head, her feet glowing with a gray light giving her kick more power.

As soon as her foot made contact with his head she sent more ice at him.

"Still I really don't want to see her get up but I think she can kick his ass. She's stubborn as fuck and when she wants to make a point she will." he said.

Tyson felt the kick to the back of his head and it hurt. Concealing the pain Tyson laughed. "I think you are the same ugly cold person as me. You just like to hide it." Tyson said as he turned around and got hit with ice which hit and shattered against his armor. ***** is fast. But she can't break the sound barrier. Tyson sent out another high frequency wave this time keeping it going as he closed in and got within punching distance of Alex, hoping to land a punch this time.

"Mmmm and now you have me eagerly anticipating tonight," Leland replied after breaking the kiss as his own arms wrapped around Katie. He stared into Katie's blue eyes before kissing her forehead, looking back down at her and saying, "You always just look so damn stunning Katie. Even with the slightly tangled hair. Heh, you still manage to make it look good."

Garrus awoke to find himself in a small puddle of drool, quickly wiping his face and the table of the bar with his jacket sleeve as he looked around to try and regain his bearings. He asked where his son and wife were out loud, getting a beep from his brother in reply. Garrus simply stared at Ethan who stared back before remembering that Garrus did not speak his language. He quickly beeped an apology and pointed to the lounge doors, Garrus getting up and thanking him as he headed out.

After exiting the Promenade he heard some voices from around the corner, following them until he found everyone. He watched as Tyson and Alex seemed to be in a fight, heading to everyone sitting down and speeding up once he noticed his son was eating dirt.

"Ack you little punk, trying eat that. Looks like you managed to eat a little bit of it," Garrus muttered as Renton tried to grab his glasses, taking the dirt clot out of his hand as he took a seat next to Lillian. "Can you believe this kid Lillian? Two things he can't digest are now in his stomach. Man he's a sneaky kid. You sure aren't going to be enjoying it later though," Garrus said to the boy who was now just trying to get out of his dad's hold.

"Cold hu? Seems you don't know me as well as you think you do. Yea I can be cold and closed off but I let people in and I don't think I'm stronger then I really an." Alex said unable to move much but sent a wave of ice with gray light in it to his feet.

Damn I hope this works or this will turn into a hand to hand fight very quickly.

She lost her balance some and feel over right after she sent the wave at Tyson.

"I'm her husband, don't think I don't know she can make a point when she wants to. Mule doesn't even begin to describe how stubborn she can be." Richard replied, watching the fight play out.

"And as the best friend, I get to hear the stories of how she can rip him a new one or frustrate him. I hear them and I laugh hysterically once he's done." She said with a laugh as she split her attention between the fight and Renton.

"Oh, you," Katie murmured, blushing heavily at the compliment. "You're such a charmer. Now shut up and kiss me." She grinned and gently pulled Leland down into another passionate kiss, one hand slowly running up and down his back. The other took a careful hold of his wrist and placed his hand under her shirt, a mild thrill running through Katie as his fingers touched her stomach and began to creep upwards.

Everything else could wait: Katie didn't really care if there was a city-wide crisis going on at the time. She was with Leland, enjoying the moment and the gentle but strong feeling of his lips on hers, and that was enough to make her happy.

Tyson got hit by the ice wave and fell forward his feet now in severe pain which caused Tyson to stop the wave. However Alex had fallen over as well and Tyson raised his elbow and dropped it into her stomach as he fell. Acting on his training Tyson pulling himself on top of Alex and punched her in the face while saying, "You could have fooled me."

"Woah Katie...wait up just a moment there. Heh, I thought you said you wanted to wait until later and this doesn't seem like it. Not that I'm really complaining just quite surprised at your...initiative," Leland replied as he broke the kiss once more, himself blushing thoroughly.

Garrus watched the fight slightly bored. Even though he usually enjoyed fight this didn't seem very out of the ordinary. He sighed and let Renton crawl around next to him, keeping an eye on the dirt-eating child. His phone started to ring and he got up to take it, asking Lillian to keep watch of their child so that he doesn't manage to eat anything else he shouldn't.

Alex smirked. "Hmm you're still on top of me." Alex said spitting out blood and hit Tyson in the throat with a palm strike and sent a huge wave of water at him pushing him back and off of her.

"So you hit girls too I see." Alex said sending wave after wave of water at him then froze him in place and got on her feet jumping on him and smirked slapping him on the face.

"Ok I'm taking bets. Min is 20. Who will win? I'm putting 100 on Alex." he said taking off his hat and walked around. "Any takers?" he asked.

Tyson lost the ability to breath for a second before being blasted back with a wave of water, frozen, and then slapped. Tyson could now breath again. "I believe in gender equality. I will inflict the same amount of pain on a woman that I will on a man." Tyson retorted back at Alex before sending out a screech cracking and breaking the ice surrounding him. Tyson broke out of the ice and then grabbed Alex, lifted her in the air and threw her at the ground.
