Society of Justice 3: Crisis on the Earth

Tyson finished his dishes as Rowan decided not to mess with Eric. That man just wouldn't deliver. Tyson next went to the garage to retrieve some tools and a cart to move the box. Tyson then wheeled the crate to his room and opened it relieving everything he asked for despite the replacement plates with no surprise to Tyson. Tyson removed the hooks, the battery, the fishing line, the shelve, and the net. Tyson then placed them on the cart and headed to return the cart unloading them outside Brain's door before returning the cart and grabbing a ladder in its place.

Tyson returned to Brian's room and opened the door seeing Brian asleep but knowing this should be done asap. Tyson looked around and knew exactly how he was going to set it up. Tyson then went to work setting up the shelve to the right of the door and placing the battery on top placing notches in the terminals. Tyson then grabbed the ladder and installed the hooks into the back of the door, the top door frame, the roof on the left side of the room, a set in the middle of the roof, an other set in the roof above the door, and a final set in the roof above the battery. Tyson then fed two pieces of fishing line one through all the right side hooks and one side through all the left side hooks of the door, door frame, left side roof and center roof hooks leaving the left side a few inches longer than the right side. Tyson then tied out the fishing line to the hooks in the door and cut the net in half. Tyson then tied the other end of the pieces of fishing line in a knot that will easily unravel when tugged to one half of the the net and did the same with the other piece of fishing line and the other side of the net.

Tyson stopped and took a breather, looking over what he's done so far making sure he hasn't made any mistakes. Satisfied with his work so far Tyson continued. Tyson then cut two more pieces of the fishing line and fed them in the same style through the hooks in the roof above the battery and above the door before tying the ends to the fishing net sides and lopping the other ends to fit around the battery terminals. The trap was now complete. The door will open and the lines will get pulled causing the fishing line to unravel letting the net fall. The other lines will hold it so it will swing towards to open door and will hit the person entering the room. The contact with the person will complete the circuit with the battery and they will get severely shocked. All Brian has to do is dis connect the line from the battery and the line from the hooks behinds the door before he leaves and it won't trigger on him. Tyson left a note on Brian's bed instructing him to attach the fishing line to the battery terminals and the fishing line to the hooks on the back of the door before he goes to sleep to set up the trap.

I can't believe he slept through all of that. The guy really needs this defense. Tyson left Brian's room and headed back to the group in the kitchen after returning the ladder and tools to the garage.

Taryn grinned. "That sounds like fun. I enjoy tomhawk-ing 'tubers." Taryn mimed throwing said weapon and continued the movement to pull a box of cereal out of the upper cabinet. Opening two more door she retrieved a bowl and spoon. She turned toward the fridge and noticed Levi had pulled out a can of soda. 'Soda in the morning?' Taryn frowned briefly then stepped around Levi to get to the fridge. A few seconds later Taryn combined cereal and milk into her bowl. After returning the milk to the fridge she began looking around for a place to sit. 'We should look into expanding the kitchen at some point.' she thought.

Brian rolled over and woke himself up after hearing the door shut behind him. "Ah, huh, what? Wazzat? Is it the Eskimos again? Ah!" There was no one in his room but there was a net now hanging above his door, with a battery near his bed. "Wha?" He discovered the note that had been left on him. "Zza...zaa..za, oh man. Wow. I didn't think Tyson was that stealthy. Huh. That's pretty sweet then." With that he rolled over and went back to sleep.

Richard finished dressing and the two of them walked to the kitchen together.

"Hey everyone." He said simply as he grabbed a cup of tea.

Alex sat down and looked at Tyson. "So why are you so set on fighting me? What point do you have to prove by taking me on?" she asked grabbing some black coffee and took a sip. "My reason for fighting you, if I can't persuaded you to disengage, is to put your in your place." Alex said taking another sip of her coffee.

Steven walked slowly into the kitchen, acknowledging everyone in the room, but not making much conversation. Walking over towards the bar, he pulls a out a bottle of 190-proof Everclear. After guzzling about 1/3 of the bottle, he finally turned to everyone and spoke with a cheery tone to his voice. "Good Moorrrr-ning everyone!"

Looking through the freezer, Levi found what he was looking for: Hot Pockets. The Promenade's inventory of food seemed to always have exactly what he wanted to eat, when he wanted it. Removing a pepperoni pizza flavored sandwich from its box, Levi removed it from its plastic wrapping. He placed the Hot Pocket inside its sleeve and placed it in the microwave. He set the time for

2:00

and leaned against the counter. The machine beeped shortly afterwards. Levi removed the hot sandwich from the microwave and took a seat at the table with his soda.

Ethan lifted up his head when he heard the microwave beep and started to beep himself, thinking he had accidentally said something whilst he browsed the internet. He looked around for another second before seeing Levi with a hot pocket, figuring out what had happened and facepalming at himself.

"Aww it's alright Ethan, your mind was elsewhere. Here have a slice," Leland said as he placed a slice of the finished frittata onto a plate and placed it infront of Ethan, "You enjoy that now. I'll see the rest of you guys later." With that he headed off back to his room with the rest of breakfast in his hand.

After getting up and grabbing a fork Ethan sat back down. He unscrewed the filter over his mouth guard and started to eat his food in silence.

Tyson cracked his neck and smiled. "You learn more about a person in a fight than any other situation. A fight is also the only way to settle an argument or disagreement that has only opinions and no facts. The only point to the fight is to eliminate regret and to provide a direct vent to any possible anger or hatred that could effect a decision towards the other person involved. You win you are right. You loose you are wrong. Everything else involved is a learning experience and all problems before are left behind and discarded." Tyson replied completely from a memory of a combat instructor instructor's speech that he had overheard while he was a child. It had always made sense to him and had proven true if you believed in the ideal.

Taryn sat her half-finished bowl of cereal in front of the chair next to Levi. She fixed herself a glass of orange juice before taking her seat. She heard Leland's comment as she pulled the bowl closer but missed Requiem's gesture. Taryn looked briefly confused. With a small shrug, she figured it wasn't important, Taryn picked up her spoon. She raised her other hand in a short wave to Requiem.

"Fair enough." Alex said finishing her coffee. "I may self would have to agree with your reason for wanting to fight me so I shall give you that fight you so wish." Alex said getting up. "Meet me out front in 5 minutes, I need to get ready, as I'm sure you do as well." she said.

When Ethan saw Taryn give him a short wave he immediately swallowed the large piece of frittata he had put in his mouth in shock and started to choke on it. He grabbed his throat as he turned away from everyone, gagging as he tried to cough it out. When that didn't work he did a quick Heimlich maneuver; grabbing a napkin as he placed the coughed up food into it and threw it away. He took a seat once more at his chair and calmly raised his hand in a slight wave in response to Taryn.

'Um...' Taryn felt a little disconcerted but was still concerned about the sudden events. All she'd wanted to do say say 'hi'. Silently, at that. "Are you okay?" she asked the young cyborg. Taryn absently stirred her cereal with her spoon as she waited for Requiem to respond.

Tyson quickly returned to his room and put on his armor. This should be a good match. I don't need my gun for this one. There would be no reason for it as we aren't trying to kill each other. Tyson left his room and hurried out to the front of the building doing some light arm stretches along the way.

"Beep bep boop," Ethan replied with his visor turning a slight pink color as he looked down at his food to try and hide it, tapping his index fingers together shyly. He wasn't sure if he should continue after his thankful response, so he grabbed his fork and started to poke the small bit of frittata still left. After a moment he beeped a few more times as he asked his question.

Alex changed into her hero suit and attached her gourds to her belt and hip. "Time to make him see what it means to be part of the Society. I need to teach him a lesson." Alex said quickly forming some of her ice armor around her body. She knew that speed would be her best bet with Tyson.

She walked out of her room and walked to the kitchen kissing Richard softly. "I won't hurt him too bad but I still need to make a point to this jack ass." Alex said.

Eric blinked hearing everything Alex and Tyson were saying. "So ummm you really are going to fight him? Alex what are you thinking?" he asked. "I mean he's a new recruit." he added.

"Eric you know I need to fight him and to drive my point into his thick head. We're a team and need to treat each other as such." she said.

Levi sat back down, having sprung from his seat after Requiem started choking. He watched as the cyborg 'blushed' and beeped a few times. He still didn't understand the language of beeps that Requiem used to communicate, but Levi could gather from the context that it was probably a 'thank you' or something similar. As he took a bite of his Hot Pocket, Requiem beeped a few more times. Unsure of what he was saying, he leaned towards Taryn. "What's he saying?" he asked.

"I would agree," Rowan chipped in. "People like Tyson, Brian and myself are just new recruits, so I don't think any of us who have just joined up should claim superiority over any other, let alone over more experienced Society members such as yourself and Richard. That's my perspective on what Tyson is doing or trying to do. Oh, er, I'm Rowan, by the way. Not Eric," he added after remembering that he had spoken in Eric's voice.

Taryn was a bit surprised by the question Requiem asked but she smiled nonetheless. 'Another gamer. Cool.'

"Sure." she replied. We've got plenty of room." Hearing Levi ask about the question Taryn expanded on her response. "As of right now we only have what...four people...that play Call of Duty?" Taryn turned to direct the latter part of her statement-question to Levi. "So we have room for one more..." She looked and nodded toward Requiem to indicate who she meant.

Alex smirked. "Oh I know, Eric doesn't carry him self like you do. Besides Eric would never call him self a new member, hell he's been here since I joined but wasn't a member till now." Alex said calmly.
