im pretty sure pretty much everyone has been called a fag on the internet, if not in real life as well. that term is thrown around like candy. the proper response? nothing. if your having a debate with someone and their response is to call you a fag, thats it, they're done. they have proven to be ignorant fuckers, incapable of intelligent conversation. saying anything back will just make you look stupid, as well
I usually just say "Cool."
Leave it at that and go about my day.
It tends to devolve from that into them explaining the 99 ways they'll have sex with my mom.
If I haven't put them on ignore or logged off I usually respond "Well looks like I'll be getting better gifts for Christmas then."
But that's about as much effort as I'll put into it, too many words means you've wasted your time on someone who will eventually be a prison ***** or a bottom of the barrel being for the rest of their life.

Response is usually "only for you baby". Then wink. With friends, we know we're messing around. With random people, it freaks them the fuck out.
