max 40 meters with normal diving equipment. And that's for super advanced divers. Max 10-20 minutes as well.spartan231490 said:87 meters? I'm pretty sure you can get that deep with diving equipment, assuming ur careful when you come back up to avoid the bends. It shouldn't be that expensive at allJonny49 said:
Treasure hunters in Sweden have discovered something at the bottom of the Blatic Sea, 87 metres below the surface.
What it is is a mystery as of a yet and it'll probably stay that way as the treasure hunters have little funding to actually go down there and check it out. All that people know now is that it's round and has an impact trail following it.
So, what do you think it is? A simple aircraft? A UFO? Cthulhu's frisbee?

Exactly. The deepest submersible on the first link I found could dive to 5000 metres [http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/world/archives/2011/07/27/2003509265].spartan231490 said:87 meters? Pretty damn high, actually.DragonLord Seth said:UFO.
Seriously, what're the odds that no advanced aliens haven't stumbled upon our green and blue rock yet?
Actually, you wouldn't need one.Ledan said:max 40 meters with normal diving equipment. And that's for super advanced divers. Max 10-20 minutes as well.spartan231490 said:87 meters? Sooo.... you would need a sub or some very expensive special diving equipment.
Fingers crossed!Richardplex said:come ooon, prothean technology!
...what? A man can dream of being able to travel faster than light.
And that would be awesome.LiberalSquirrel said:It can be nothing else but the Sphere from Michael Crichton's novel of that name. I'm positive of it.
Is this actual science or something from a game? If it is real, could you link me an article please?ccggenius12 said:The problem with that, is that you don't actually travel to the same galaxy. you switch places with a version of yourself in an alternate dimension at the desired location. The device isn't perfect, so the dimension only matches up 99.999999(etc.)% of the way. The result being, eventually, you won't recognize something in the place you've warped. Hence the discontinuation, and replacement with new "starslip" drives that are functionally identical to the ones Richardplex has suggested.Patrick_and_the_ricks said:Slip Space Drives let you jump any were in galaxy instantaneously without relays.
Without a scale listed, I can't really make an educated guess as to what it could be, but given it's circular nature, my guess would be an abandoned diving bell. 87 meters isn't THAT far down, and seems reasonable in my opinion. It could also be a rather large whale skull.
Lets hope not. Humanity is not ready for that kind of power.LiberalSquirrel said:It can be nothing else but the Sphere from Michael Crichton's novel of that name. I'm positive of it.
