Ah, well that explains it. I've never played Guilty Gear. I only found out about Bridget because it's become another Internet meme. I still say there are more bizarre examples of this kinda thing then Bridget.Aylaine said:I believe it depends if you were a huge fan of her or not prior to finding out. Most of my friends who used her in the game immediately stopped thereafter. xDcanadamus_prime said:Meh, I still don't see the big deal. I wasn't overly shocked when I first found out. It hurt. At least I got the items necessary to save her.
Oh man, I never even bothered to pass that part. I saw where that game was taking me and I didn't like it.Zetsubou-Sama said:Zelda: The Wind Waker
finally got off the island, time for some adventure
10 minutes later:
Stripped away of everything and sent to a stupid stealth mission to which failure makes you have to do it all over again D:
I kinda liked the explaination, but would you have guessed any different?Casual Shinji said:I'd have to go with MGS4 to,but for me it was the "nanomachines are behind everything" plot twist: "All that cool mystical stuff from MGS1 with Vulcan Raven and Psycho Mantis wasn't anything mysterious and awesome, it was ALL nanomachines."
Fuck you Kojima, for pulling that George Lucas shit on us!
You know, I could deal with it being a RTS to a degree. I mean I don't like them per se, but since it wasn't a full fledge micro manage everything RTS I got through it. The part of Brutal Legend that made me want to burn copies of Psychonauts and Grim Fandango was the whole "Yeah, we want you to do this mission, but we can't be bothered to tell you what the mission is. But do it for Metal!" If only the entire game had been the first 30 minutes or so repeated for 8-15 hrs. it would've gone down as the greatest game of all time.Dr Grimoure said:When I realized that the entire second half of Brutal Legend was some kind of crappy RTS, I was hoping for a hack n slash metal game![]()
I didn't mind that they applied it to Vamp - probably because I didn't really like him anyway - but what I loved about MGS1 was the air of mystery. A couple of characters just had these abilities; no scientific explanation, no strings, they just had it. Same as in MGS3 with The End and The Sorrow. Okay, The Pain and The Fear were kinda silly, but it still nicely balanced itself between the natural and the super-natural.Julianking93 said:I kinda liked the explaination, but would you have guessed any different?Casual Shinji said:I'd have to go with MGS4 to,but for me it was the "nanomachines are behind everything" plot twist: "All that cool mystical stuff from MGS1 with Vulcan Raven and Psycho Mantis wasn't anything mysterious and awesome, it was ALL nanomachines."

I mean, the nanomachines are usually behind a lot of stuff, so of course the machines would have at least something to do with Vamp and Mantis' crazy powers.
Well this guy comes to mindAylaine said:Can you name a few? I want to know.canadamus_prime said:Ah, well that explains it. I've never played Guilty Gear. not to mention people are likely to grab the booster v.08 without knowing the consequences...
im fairly certain this moment brought several players moral WAY down.
especially since they give JUST enough time for you to start liking her. BOOM.
nope that was all still mysterious the team from MSG1 didnt use nanomachinesCasual Shinji said:I'd have to go with MGS4 to,but for me it was the "nanomachines are behind everything" plot twist: "All that cool mystical stuff from MGS1 with Vulcan Raven and Psycho Mantis wasn't anything mysterious and awesome, it was ALL nanomachines."
