For a while everyone was trying to jump on the Poke'mon bandwagon by making their own shows where small children tell animals/robots/other to fight each other. What was your favorite of these shows?
Mine was Medabots as robots are always awesome, you don't feel like a bad person for watching robots tear each other apart and the main robot was an angry sarcastic self absorbed jerk.

I used to be an epic Yu Gi Oh (Don't really care if that's how you spell it) dueler. Yeah, I know how cool I am, you don't have to tell me.

Beyblade. How the fuck did tops become a fad? I had like three.
I like to call it Battle Dreidels!

OP: I remember some show called Monster Hunter which was a terrible rip-off of Poke'mon, never watched it really.

I remember that... I painted mine purple. It was the best in the block. (Yes we had tournies, weekly.) I should have competed in the regionals o_O

I never got too much into the craze. I played Yu gi oh or whatever it is for maybe half a year before switching over to magic. I even tried watching digimon a few times but it always came out as bland and generic to me.

Nothing will quite beat the original red and blue.

I actually enjoyed that game right up until everyone stopped playing, it was fun....don't judge me.

I always prefered Digimon to Pokemon. I wish I knew why.

But nothing topped Yu-Gi-Oh.

I'll admit it, I just prefered Pokemon to all the imitations. When it came out it was an original concept and it probably counts as my first anime. Though I didn't realise it at the time.

Hell, I'd even buy the original TV series if it was avaliable on DVD.

I used to be really into Digimon. I liked that the creature companions could say more than just their name. Also, I liked that the show had a real sense of progression.

I have loved Digimon since I was a four-year-old with nothing but a television with five channels that were incredibly grainy at best with nothing on for me until Saturday morning and I still love it today.

No judgement here. I still have a bucket of those cards in my basement, I think.

"Digimon, digtial monsters, champions". Yeah, I use to love that show and I'm ashamed to say that I still remember the opening theme, well the first few lines of it.

Edit: dammit, ninja'd, curse my slow typing skills, "curse them" I say.

I'm pretty sure I still have my three Blue Eyes White Dragons around here somewhere...

I enjoyed the first season of Digimon, and I dabbled in Yu Gi OH! cards, but never watched the show and wasn't very good at the card game.

Don't worry your not alone, as a matter of fact I still have the deck I used and all my spare cards. It was quite popular in my estate, but with one problem me and my brother, were the only people who knew the correct rules of the game and we still do.

The epic-ist of all cards.
