I used to be an epic Yu Gi Oh (Don't really care if that's how you spell it) dueler. Yeah, I know how cool I am, you don't have to tell me.
I actually enjoyed that game right up until everyone stopped playing, it was fun....don't judge me.
No judgement here. I still have a bucket of those cards in my basement, I think.
I'm pretty sure I still have my three Blue Eyes White Dragons around here somewhere...
Screw your Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

I was a Beyblade guy too. I had maybe 2, but still I got them with no one to play. But they were on TV so that made it cool

Baaah, that damn hairball!

Actually, I think this [http://febriminato.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/gaia2.jpg] was always my favourite card. I 'squee'd' whenever he came up on the show.

EDIT: And I just noticed... He's in your card..

Um...I'm very, very certain Yugioh wasn't influenced by Pokemon. If anything, it might be the other way around, depending on when the Pokemon cards came out...

As for me...Moemon. I know, I know, it's not a show. I don't care.

oh dear god, i still love the Yu Gi Oh(is that how you spell it?) card game. Having three Blue-Eyes White Dragons really did put the odds in my favor.

Yu-Gi-Oh is probably the one I enjoyed the most as well, and I dunno about it being dead, since I visited a hobby store in December last year and there were still tournaments of it going on. But then, that was nearly a year ago.

And bollocks to the whole thing being a children's card game (I blame 4Kids), because I've seen many 30-40 year olds play the game and enjoy it as well, and no-one there really cared. But I guess that's because the game seemed to have a more hobby-like side to it rather than just being another one of those fads. At least it did to me.

And for the record, this [http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/9296/ancientgeargolem.jpg] was probably my favourite card. It just screamed of brutality.

For a while everyone was trying to jump on the Poke'mon bandwagon by making their own shows where small children tell animals/robots/other to fight each other. What was your favorite of these shows?
Mine was Medabots as robots are always awesome, you don't feel like a bad person for watching robots tear each other apart and the main robot was an angry sarcastic self absorbed jerk.
Bee something right?
That show was boss.
His name was Medabee. He ruled.

Well my experience with them isn't that extensive, but I'm catching up, actually. So far Digimon Tamers (the third season of Digimon) is easily the best I've seen: it was similar to Avatar: The Last Airbender in that it was a kids show, and completely kid-friendly, but they didn't let the story suffer because of that. Loved it.

Medabots, because out of all of the different shows, I knew I wanted a little (armed to the tooth) robot to call my own more than any of the others. Although the byproducts of beyblade were the best

My favorite was the first season of Digimon, which kicked supreme ass (as I recall).

OP: I remember some show called Monster Hunter which was a terrible rip-off of Poke'mon, never watched it really.
I get the feeling you mean Monster Rancher.

Yu-gi-oh. I didn't compete or anything, I just collected the cards and watched the show.

Definitely Yu-Gi-Oh. Watching Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series after having seen pretty much every episode of the 1st and 2nd seasons of the original show is amazing.

Yeah that's the one, I remember some weird duck thing and monster that looked like an Arhiman from Final Fantasy.

I liked Medabots. A beetle that has a craving for watermelon is the coolest thing ever in my brain.

EDIT: Pokemon seasons 1-3 and 6-9 are still my favorite anime.

I'll admit it, I just prefered Pokemon to all the imitations. When it came out it was an original concept and it probably counts as my first anime. Though I didn't realise it at the time.

Hell, I'd even buy the original TV series if it was avaliable on DVD.
You know it is.
EDIT: Sorry for the double-post.

Mochi and Swayzo... wait, how the hell do I remember those?

OT: I watched just about every show that's been mentioned on this thread so far, except Beyblade, even though I got one of the tops (I still think it's sitting around here somewhere).
