What do I own that qualifies me as cool....

Well, I've made several games, I have a kick ass laptop, I can hold my vodka in like a Polish. Although whether that qualifies me as cool or not I don't know, nor do I care much. I also am one of two champions of Draconica in Europe, but that doesn't make me cool. My friend can juggle, with knives as well, but that doesn't make him cool.

No, I think that if you don't know the jokes...you're just not that cool! XD

aha, I have recognised the fact that you have failed to give any argument against my scientifically proven phenomenon of unicylce = cool! muahaha! I win this argument! I am cool!

besides, those specifically nerdy jokes contradict the essence of the thread, therefore eradicating any coolness they might have possessed (besides, I understood the binary joke, so HA!)

and with that, I shall now rest to slumber. If you wish to bring more arguments to the table, you'll have to tell Cpt.Oblivious that you don't think unicycle = cool till the morning!... or noon... or tommorow evening for that matter cheerio!

I do alot of theater work, particularly Broadway/musical theater as well as traditional. I've been doing Tae Kwon Do since I was in middle school <3 hmm~ I enjoy cooking very much, especially making great food look really pretty <3 and I'm a history buff. I'm the insane person who stands in a historical place, or any place for that matter, and go, "...MAN. Just think...four hundred years ago they were fighting over this area with katana and mass armies!" ...okay I guess thats pretty nerdy...

I was in the Marines for 4 years, and had a 6 month deployment in Iraq. but I never shot anyone and My job specialty was in Computers Systems, but i did maintain Unclass and secret packet networks. I'm also Asian which mean I have a small...ego. but I can enjoy Anime and Japanese Culture without being a Weeboo. I'm not a virgin but, the girl(s) I've been with were quite tubby. i have 2 tatoos but i have outgrown them

I think that covers it. I'm sure very few here are absolute basment dwellers, we all have something away from the keyboard, to a greater or lesser extent. Being nerdy is a lifestyle choice, some of the coolest people I've met have incredibly boring or geeky passions...

I actually rarely game anymore. While I do spend most of the day on my PC, my guitar is located right next to it so I actually spend a lot of time playing it and writing songs. I go paint balling with my friends sometimes, and we are thinking of forming a team. I'm actually very good at talking to women, surprisingly. I made out with my ex in Las Vegas. No joke. I am a pretty good performer in general. I do a lot of acting, and I can play almost every instrument except for the brass instruments and the violin type stuff. The guitar and the piano are the only ones I own. I love guns.

Well that's all the non-nerdy stuff about me. I'll save the nerdy things for the other thread.

I think neediness is when you take yourself seriously in something.... so really anything you are passionate about could be called nerdy couldn't it?

For example: I am amazing at football(soccer) and I play it at collage level and am really physically fit.

But when I think about that... how is that dedication and passion on the pitch day in and day out, interest in new gear, in teams I follow, having friends based on that interest. How is that different from my dedication in Computer Science and Mathematics - (my fields of study). Where I love to be elbow deep in servers, get excited when I am called on to specify an new super computing solution for someone or when I talk about complex algorithms...

No one would call the football(soccer) part nerdy but they would the CS/Math... I don't get it.
