So here is a video about their GOTY and it makes me wonder why they have so much time to screw around. Pretty funny they take shots at the other GOTY contenders half way through. Also kinda dumb it was released in the middle of January when nobody cares about last years GOTY.

These were the guys who made that video of the guy ranting that the only reason that he could stand Final Fantasy was that it 'made chicks look hotter when they dressed up'.

They aren't even worth spitting on.

Is it just me or has IGN gotten worse over the last few years. I remember I started following their website and Gamespy around 5 years ago and I don't remember it being that bad. It certainly wasn't as ludicrously tasteless as exemplified in the video in the OP and the one you're talking about.

This, really. Usually GOTY awards are just idiotic popularity contests with little regard for the actual quality of the game. I happen to love IGN. I'm not saying its perfect but its the best of its kind as far as I'm aware. And I don't see what's so bad about that video. At least it's obviously a joke; they just made a song. So what. They know no one cares about the GOTY contest.

That video was hilarious what are you talking about!

HE has some valid complaints, most noticeable the continuing characters thing. You could literally call any game "Final Fantasy #" and its a sequel that will be praised. The games don't have much in relation to each other, except a few common story and universe themes.

And character design is just "get 200 different articles of clothing, choose 6 random ones for each character each game." But yeah he's a bit douchey in this video.
