Sorry not my kind of thing >.<

I'm more of a rock/metal person :/

Oh, I know 80% of this site is metalheads (and that's fine, my last 2 roommates have been as well. I don't mind metal at all, it's just not my music), I'm just trying to educate you all ;)

My contribution will be two middle aged men playing music in what almost looks like someone's living room. It's called Hyperventilate, by Frost*.

You know what? I liked that. Simple, minimal, light, almost jazzy and felt improv'ed to an extent. I could listen to more of that. I only listened to the first video, not sure how the original compares.

Been listening to these guys quite a bit, lately.

hmmm a nickelback song, i have no strong emotions one way or the other.
You're doing it wrong, you don't quote a song 7 posts up just so you can rip on the band.

We seem to have skipped someone here, so I'll comment on both to make up.

The beginning threw me off for a bit there, really didn't expect the like the song. But it definately got better, and I quite liked it on the whole.

Now, did someone say we need more classic rock in here? No? Well, I say we do!
Classic rock is always good, though I don't think I would've registered this under classic rock, classic pop maybe. Still always good to hear.

And here's mine for today, still not metal but a bit more rock-y then the last one.

Fine, here is another classic that is a bit more blatantly rock:

PS: Yours is good too.

Sounds pretty good to me, easy enough to listen to, but still interesting. I might have to give the band a bit of listening.

Me, I have this silly passion for late '70s early '80s pop-punk, and I really think The Boomtown Rats deserve to be known for more than just I Don't Like Mondays. I couldn't find a decent YouTube video for this song, but this will have to do:

Nice relaxing music, I like it. Not something I'd usually listen to but nothing wrong with something new every now and then. Or something old as the case may be :p.

Now for something a bit different:

It made my leg move, that means I like it. Not something I'd add to my daily music listening regime, but definitely nice for once in a while.

I've already posted my song for today, so I'll refrain from adding more. But there are 3 more un-replied to songs left. Some one pick one of those ;)

Well it seems that posted a song over 24 hours ago. And the thread does say song of the day. So POST AWAY!

Edited for Fat Fingering
It's actually only been just over 4 hours since I posted today's song (yesterday's is abit over 25 now), but I'll just go ahead and blame you if anyone comments ;)

Yup, that's classic rock alright ;)
And not an overplayed piece either, very nice.

Here's my (second) pick of the day, I'll be offline for most of the rest of the day, so I won't keep spamming the thread I promise.

Something a little different again

Intriguing. The production/arrangement seemed a bit off though.

Now mine:

Don't worry if you can't usually stand their lyrics, this is an instrumental.

Song's not bad...

But this instrumental knocks its socks off.

These guys are way too underrated, they deserve better.

man that brings me back, probably my fave album of theirs, but i kind went off them after they did that rap album (not because of the rap album, i actually loved that)

<youtube=CRDUknas7Y4>

behold the only dubstep song i can tolerate!
Of their 2 first albums, it probably is my favourite - but my overall favourite of theirs is A Thousand Suns, which very much appeals to my inner Pink Floyd fan (and I am a pretty damn big Pink Floyd fan).

I feel like I know that song from elsewhere... Hmm...
Not bad, but I've heard better electronic stuff.

Anyway, this thread needs moar indie! Modern, but with a classic sound to it, behold the Courteeners!

It's decent. Not something I immediately love but it's quite upbeat. Sometimes this stuff takes a bit to grow on me.

Wasn't sure whether to post Godspeed You! Black Emperor or not. I love that band to death and they definitely need more love, but their stuff is quite long and takes a while to get absorbed in. I'd definitely recommend them to people, but here's my choice.

I've been listening to this album on repeat recently (which is odd cos I've never been an R&B person before) and this is the highlight IMO. I adore that dark, hazey 2am house party vibe.

And the whole thing is free \o/
