Song you like from Genres you DONT like

I am a big fan of classic rock, and I really don't like country. But my friend had me listen to this song called "The Clothes Don't Make The Man" and it was very good.

I don't think Skillet should fall under "Christian rock"
they're one of my favorite bands, but it seems more like they're just a heavy rock band (ok I threw in heavy cuz I went to the concert) with a leader singer who is a Christian and it shows in some songs
most of their songs are just pretty beast (the message is emotional still, but with less angst than Linkin Park...whom I used to like a lot haha)

I absolutely hate country music except for Johnny Cash's The Man Comes Around. Most of his songs are really good but that is my favorite.

I've never thought of Cash as Country. That Man is his own genre.

Me? I really don't like Hip-Hop, but I have to admit that some of Eminems songs are damn good.

I agree with this and it's exactly what I was going to put.

Maybe it's because he's white and I have some kind of hatred against black people that I don't know about.

Joe Budden`s "come take a walk with me" i`m not big on hip-hop, but i like this one alot

Although i do also like public enemy (but not bring the noise ,which was awful)harder than you think,and fight the power and don`t beleive the hype being personal faves

Unless you dislike the image that goes with the Genre.
A genre is a style of Music.

That's a bit ignorant.

Genre's can easily bend around it's sound. For instance, just because something is rap, doesn't mean it can't have a guitar.

I despise rap/hip-hop and the people who listen to it, however, Due to the rather origional nature and just general awesomeness, I listen to the band "Captain Dan and the Scurvy Crew" also, The Beastie Boys.
