This song always sends shivers down my spine:

It's deranged sure, but I love it :D I just have to be careful not to sing it on the bus or something. I might get committed :D

These songs from their respective artists are the ones that I would say "blew me away" :)
(listed in no particular order)

Death Cab for Cutie - Marching Bands of Manhattan
Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescence
Bloc Party - This Modern Love
Dave Matthews Band - #41
Fountains of Wayne - Hey Julie
Pavement - Spit on a Stranger
The Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight, Tonight
Coldplay - Warning Sign
Oasis - Wonderwall (kinda overly popular, but w/e)

Ozzy - soulsucker, perry mason and latimer's mercy
Black label society - song remains not the same (whole album)
Soundgarden - 4th of july and mailman
stevie ray vaughan - tightrope
jimi hendrix - dolly dagger and purple haze
And that's what's impressed me so far this month.

Why does everyone like metal?
I ask myself this everyday I come to the escapists, it's over run with metal heads.
I ask myself the same thing about rap fans. To each their own.

I can't stop listening to it, most songs with gratuitous french really hit me.
Love, love, LOVE the Stop making Sense version of this song.

Just 'cuz [http://www.leekspin.com/]

In all seriousness, to be different, I present you with the only Genesis song I like....because it's a creepy song about a hooker:

I would have to say there are quite a few songs that have "blew me away", but here's three off the top of my head.

I heard this song once, and it instantly became my favorite. I have yet to get tired of hearing it - after over a year. The vocals are incredible!

(Oh God... I hit the red button...)

It's been a LONG time since a song "blew my mind"... but yeah, genuinely, these ones detonated my imagination.

This whole track is great ^ the on below is recorded much louder, FYI
Skip to 2:55 ^ --- again, LOUD RECORDING ; turn down your speakers or headphones and then dial it back up where you're comfortable.

Be warned, I like my music more intense than most people can enjoy, or even tolerate.

If you like those songs, then you should appreciate this (not the video, the song (which is a cover by the way)) -

Song that blows me away is this -

Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. Especially the recording conducted by Herbert von Karajan.

It embodys the triumph of a nation in the face of overwhelming aggressor.

Plus there aren't many pieces for a full orchestra, all churchbells of an entire city and an artillery regiment.

I don't get, like, half the submissions in this thread, but I'm reeeeeally curious to become aware of how "Caramelldansen" should blow anyone away.

srs faic. :|
Because Caramelldansen is fricken awesome. Then again, I'm also a sucker for high-energy.
