POPPIN' BOTTLES IN THE ICE
LIKE A BLIZZARD
WHEN WE DRINK WE DO IT RIGHT
GETTIN'.......you know what? FUCK YOU.

Fly Like A G6. And then everything The Waterboys ever did, just to stop me from getting drunk and putting them on when in polite company. There's a time and a place for the Waterboys...and it doesn't involve Youtube.

Instead of banning songs, can I just ban the inappropriate use of songs in videos? Take these two gems:

Now, my point here isn't "CREED AND LINKIN PARK SUCK!!!". It's "What the fuck does Breaking the Habit have to do with Marble Blast Ultra's Easter Eggs?!" and "What the fuck does Higher have to do with Red Alert 3's skirmish mode!?" The only answer I can come up with is "Nothing. The video creator just put it in because they like Linkin Park/Creed." And I hate videos that do that. Yeah, "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" for FPS videos is overdone to high hell, but at least the song matches what's happening on screen to some degree. If you're going to change the video's music, at least pick something appropriate. Don't just toss some random song in there because YOU like it. Other people don't, or maybe they do but this isn't the time to listen to it, and they aren't going to want to keep watching your video. Let the people at home play their own music while watching your video if they want, but leave your video's original audio alone.

I'm amazed nobody's mentioned this song, or perhaps I' mabout to cross some kind of line that nobody wanted to cross so without further adoo...

Edit: Oh and anything with a generally low production value
It was mentioned in the first reply man:

Motherfucking Bodies.
Y'know. That song by Drowning Pool that's played in every 5th video on that thing.

'Hey, this video looks interesting'
'LET THA BODIES HIT THA FLUUUUUUUUR'
'SHIIIIIIIT'

Y'know. Like that.
Quoted for truth. Seriously, I have seen 'music videos' for obscure 80's horror movies with that friggin' song attached to it.

This post needs bullet-points just to point out all the songs I hate.

- Bodies. It wasn't even good 6 years ago when it was SUPPOSE to be edgy.

- 009 Sound System. They just need to die in general.

- Baby. Nobody likes Justin Beiber. Nobody... NOBODY.

- Friday. Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun.

- Bo Burnham. He's funny, but he gets annoying when your friend shouts "SWALLOW *****! THERE'S PEOPLE STARVING IN AFRICA!" every 5 fucking seconds.

- Anyone who writes songs about video games. "Baby" isn't good. Why would "Beilings" be? Also, before you accuse me of taking a joke the wrong way, I have friends who listen to this on their iPod.

- The Lonely Island. Same problem that I have with Bo Burnham.

And if you're wondering where Rick Astley fits on my list... he doesn't. I like that song.

better idea: do what i do and leave the youtube to the middle-school kids. the numbers have spoken, and there is no room for adult brain function on a site whose most popular videos are justin bieber and "fred."

Nothing. If you get linked to a song you dislike, give it a thumbs down, maybe leave a negative comment if you feel that strongly about it... and move on.

Any song where the genius who made the video has it's volume turned up so high that even if youtubes volume at almost muted it's still too damn loud. Seriously, just cause you've screwed over your ear drums doesn't mean the rest of us don't enjoy the use of ours.

Friday/Everything By the Justin Beaver.

Come to think of it, Bieber should be dragged out and castrated to prevent him from ever reproducing.

While Requiem for a Dream is common, I'd never EVER ban it.
the movie...? :(
The movie was great. what's wrong with that?
Jared Leto was great.

I looked more into it. It seems the song is the theme of that movie and is called Requiem for a Tower. I called it Requiem for a Dream because that's what most people seem to call it. It seems as though the songs real name was lost somewhere along the way to it's popularity.

Never seen the movie. Also, I was saying that I wouldn't ban it. So I was saying there was nothing 'wrong with that'.

I'd much rather ban "here's a commercial before your video, here's a commercial banner popping up on the bottom of your video, here's a commercial after your video, here's a commercial running beside your video, here's the song that's playing in your video (irregardless of whether it spoils the point of watching that video to give away what's going to be played)..."

YouTube is becoming less of a video sharing site and more a channel for irritation.

I was about to post this. Glad someone has a clear head in this messed up world. I hate the song Baby and Friday as much as everyone else, but dear Altman this is becoming insanity. People are starting to hate the creators of the song and the artists because they dislike the song? That's too far. Dislike the song for crying out loud but leave the artists alone.

Why would we want to ban a song, anyways? Then what stops us from banning other songs just because "we don't like it?" What about the people who hate YOUR songs to death? They're allowed to ban your songs just as fairly then.

Hell, lets just ban all music while we're all at it. It might offend someone in the world. Time to go re-read Fahrenheit 451 now.

EDIT: This thread annoys me. As does the post a few posts above saying that Bieber should be castrated because of his one song. Good job, world.
