You know all of the "hate" threads popping up everywhere on this site recently? Of course, you do - you travel through this site the same as me. So, it's no wonder that this song has been a staple of mine:
And then, to personify the "crazy" part in my username, this is the other staple song in my arsenal of sound:
I don't really think I could listen to any song for days on end, let alone an hour. Still, I can hear the same song X number of times in a given day, interspersed between other titles, for...god knows how long.
Repetition for the sake of repetition makes my skin crawl.
However! I've heard a few songs that have "forced" me to play them several times in a row. Like this one!
Plenty of them but most recently, I've been pretty hooked on the theme song from Vikings. I can't believe I'd never heard of Fever Ray until 3 days ago. Renews my faith in that there is so much great music out there I have yet to discover.
A lot of Nightwish's stuff comes close. It's just heavy enough for me to enjoy regardless of mood, but not so heavy that it gets exhausting and starts to blur into a noise after extended sessions *cough*AvengedSevenfold*cough*. The one and only song that I could listen to forever on an infinite loop, though, is this:
I mean, I just went to Youtube to grab the link and I ended up watching the whole video again. The same one that I've watched enough times to be able to make a shot-for-shot remake from memory, and recite not only every lyric, but every note played by every instrument in the song. It's that freaking good.
End of Ponies, by dylan1kenobi:
Possibly my favorite song period. Don't let the fact that it's based on a pony fanfic dissuade you, as it's truly phenominal on every level.
