An excellent soundtrack to an excellent film.
That's because Hans Zimmer wrote it, he's a genius.
Yeah, Hans Zimmer is awesome. Hell, I even went out and bought the physical CD to this soundtrack. I haven't done that in years. It's even got a couple of paragraphs in it from Christopher Nolan saying how awesome Hans is.
Hans Zimmer is made of win. It added yet another layer to that movie to make it awesome. I love the music and love that movie. I may also go out and buy the physical CD.

Man, I could play this all day.

That song in my opinion is the band's most emotional song. Like most of the songs in Demon Days, it has genuine meaning.

Oh yes, anything by Coldplay.
I agree, Coldplay makes really meaningful songs.

Vic Chesnutt was a genius lyricist and a moving acoustical guitarist.
His death was a huge loss.

And I love you.

ELO FTW

OT: Everything I could say has been ninja'd :(

It's cool to know I share the same music tastes with my fellow escapists, though.

To be more specific:
Modest Mouse
Nightwish
Halo 3 Never Forget

EDIT: Oh, you know what? America has some very nice songs:

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is the closest thing the modern age has to a virtuoso

If you don't believe me:

this is my favorite beethoven song, and the player is pretty excellent as well:

Damn, just listenning to this song makes me want to cry

I'd have to say, Requiem for a Dream, for one. I thought it was one of the most beautiful pieces I've heard in a long time.
Another one is Parade, by Chaba. Strange choice considering I'm not Japanese, nor do I understand any of the lyrics, but for some reason it just calms me, no matter what my mood.

OMG Stones. How could I forget Stones earlier?
Wow I can't believe I didn't remember this song earlier. One of the first game songs to lodge to solidly in my head I was humming it for MONTHS. (Of course, this one is far better than the old MIDI one from Ultima VII. A full orchestral performance of this would be mind-blowingly amazing. Though this is a very solid, enjoyable amateur arrangement for sure.)

There are a number of songs that give me shivers or emotional, but Ghost Love Score by Nightwish is on eof the first ones I think of. The vocalization in the Halo theme does sometimes as well. Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt is a good one as well.

I also agree with the posts mentioning the FFX songs.

I have to admit, when I think, "Beautiful," Amy Lee's voice comes to mind; specifically this song. It's is so beautiful and soothing.

After watching this video again years later, I cried so much at this part. The scene the song ends into made it relate to me even more.

Any song by A Day to Remember. 'Nuff said.
No offense or anything, I just don't see the appeal in A Day To Remember. They really don't bring anything new to the table. I have a similar opinion of The Devil Wears Prada. They're both massively successful bands that I believe don't really deserve the praise. What makes you like ADTR so much?

Just because they don't bring something new or they didn't originate a genre doesn't mean they aren't good. I like they're music, why else would a I like a music group?
