Sony Gamers Brag About Exclusives, But Don?t BUY Them.

I own 28 PS3 games. 11 of them are PS3 exclusive - Uncharted 1 and 2, Demon's Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, Siren, Ratchet and Clank x 2, LittleBigPlanet, Infamous, Heavy Rain, and Metal Gear Solid 4.

I feel like I'm doing my part.

I would say i have owned most PS3 exclusives like uncharted 1+2, MGS4, God of War 3, Killzone 2+3, infamous 1+2, resistance 1+2, littlebigplanet and ratchet and clank. I also own an xbox and believe PS3 exclusives are better than xbox ones. I find they have better gameplay, stories and graphics. Also they all fit on one disc instead of needing two.

So yeah, I'm among those people that don't have those games. But I've done my part for the older games. Shit, I'll definitely be down for a Killzone 1 HD.

Since Sony has been going on an HD remake binge, that is the number one game I want to see remade. Fix up the frame rate, even the AI out a bit and tighten up the mechanics and it would be a hell of a good game. As it is, it is pretty fun, but not near the level of its successors.

sony and microsoft recently started in on the "nintendo plan", which is rerelease the same game with a graphics update.
kinda like what EA and activision have been doing for their bread in butter, in addition to whoring out like the navy just docked in.

Okay, I kid, but seriously, that's the only reason I actually bought one. Heavy Rain, Uncharted, MGS4, and more recently Demon's Souls are really the only reasons the thing was worth buying outside of Blu-Ray.

The games he's citing have sold well. He's complaining that they haven't sold as well as Call of Duty. Nothing sells as well as Call of Duty! Yes the PS3 has some amazing exclusive games, but setting your sights on Call of Duty-type sales is ridiculous to the point of pure idiocy.

Yeah, the entire article seems to be a thinly disguised "why does Call Of Duty sell better than Killzone & Resistance?" And what does he present as proof that Killzone is worthy? Graphics.

Call Of Duty sells better than Halo and Gears Of Wars combined... so does that mean no one cares about X-Box exclusives.

Hardly any people who have PS3's at my school buy the critically acclaimed games that come out for it.
I only have a 360, and I'm hugely envious of all those gamers that own PS3's.

I bought a PS3 because I owned a PS1 and a PS2, it's what I'm used to, if my parents had bought me an Xbox I would have a 360 right now. Back on topic most of my games are multi-platform and to be honest I don't like really any of the PS3 exclusives and after buying some for the reason of having some PS3 exclusive and hating them, I try to advoid them. Either way I still <3 my PS3.

I own PS3 exclusives. hell, the high point of my summer was getting inFamous 2 (and catherine, but thats not an exclusive).

in fact, one of the things that makes me feel good (and my head swell) is that Persona 5 is yet to be announced for the 360 (to my knowledge at least, but thats probably up to change), just so I can continue to lord over the 360 fans and say look at my shiny persona that you cant play, because yes Im that petty and its fun after all the times they decided to do the same with Halo*.

*EDIT: of course this comment isnt directed at ALL 360 users, just the ones I know personally and know full well dont represent the entirety of the 360 user community. Just like i dont represent the entire sony user community.

Since I do the majority of my console gaming via Gamefly, no, I do not buy PS3 exclusives.

I bought both a PS3 and an Xbox 360 around the same time, the former for exclusives and such and the latter mainly to be devoted to shooters and multiplayer. However, I've started playing the shooters and multiplayer on my PS3 more than my Xbox, so my Xbox has been collecting dust.

I own all 3 consoles, my PS3 was bought on release as I had owned a PS2 all my life and wanted to keep playing Ratchet and Clank games and didn't want to pay or the online services. I got a Wii because it was cheap and my 360 only about 3 months ago.

So yea, I got a PS3 mainly for exclusives.

I love the PS3 exclusives. Almost all of them. Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Resistance 1 and 3 were fantastic (especially the recent 3, wow SO good), Demon's Souls, Disgaea, Atilier, Ar Tonelico, Folklore, Flower, Infamous, 3D Dot Heroes, Dead Nation, God of War, the Ps2 HD Remkaes (Prince of Persia, Sly, Tomb Raider), Heavy Rain, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Metal Gear Solid 4, Valkyria Chronicles, White Knight Chronicles, Killzone....

I own them all and love every one of them. But then, I'm a fan of quality single player games and have no interest in multiplayer. Not everyone shares that taste in games, that's understandable. But if they didn't like the PS3 exclusives, why would they brag about them? Makes no sense. Those type of people are Grade A douches.

I bought my 360 for new games, my PS3 so I can watch blu-rays and netflix and, my SNES, Gamecube and, N64 for good games BURN!

In all seriousness (and before I'm ENGULFED IN FLAME) The only PS3 game I own on disc is a PS3 excliusive: Trinity Universe Online. I hate the PS3 controller when applied to shooters and am not ready to invest in a shooter-friendly controller or L/R2-Dip attachments since I can get almost all of the same shooters on the 360. Also, I wasn't joking about the good games on older consoles. I've clocked more hours on retro consoles and games this month than I have on my PS3 this past year. OK, ready for flame now.

From what I gathered from skimming the article, he is surprised that more people have bought the last two COD games than all the other exclusive games combined? Duh! COD is more popular than god these days. Although I would like to see the sale figures comparing console sales to PC sales (THings such as steam included).
