Sony Smash Brothers Confirmed?

Who is this guy? What has he revealed before? What credibility does he have outside of his own site and doing a countdown?

Also, Smash Brothers format is not the way to go. It should be the Marvel Vs. Capcom variety. A lot of the characters have proven thats how they fight best (Hell, Cole and Kratos are already 2D fighter characters, and Parappa is literally 2D). Allows a deeper playstyle.

On the other hand - Max from Dark Chronicle. Fuck Yes.

If you're talking about Paul Gale than he is a write for Bitbomb, and a contributor to EGM and 1up.

- Nathan Drake
- Snake
- Cole
- Dude from ecochrome (there's always that one weird character)
- Radec from Kz2
- Sackboy
- Ratchet and Clank
- Nathan Hale (and maybe a chimera too)
- Sly (maybe the other characters too)

Seems like a rumor to me, any more reliable gaming news blogs pick up the story? I really can't think of a Sony character that I would want to see in a fighting game. Sony is not a 'character studio' like Nintendo is. Sony does not have the same sort of roster of characters that we all know and love from our childhood. In the past Sony's strength was the third party nature of the games. Their first party games are not based around characters we remember from childhood like Ninitendos are.

But, I guess I can be contempt with being able to murder Nathan Drake with Kratos. York's incredibly-delicious-yet-scaldingly-hot coffee to the face attack will have to wait.

I could see this being fairly entertaining if this is real. Won't be as good as Super Smash Bros but also not an immediate dismissal as well. I'm hoping they manage to pull characters such as Jak or Ratchet into the game at least, but what'd make me ecstatic if they could put in characters like Junpei from Persona 3, Lyner from Ar Tonelico, or Monica from Dark Cloud 2.

Other question: would they try to pull characters from either Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts since they are predominately on Sony systems...

The only thing is that it is kinda hard to imagine a lot of these characters in a fighting game sorta universe. It'd have to be very unique and appealing to work.

Haha yeah I guess so. The thing is, Sony has to use all of it's own first party games for the game, so I bet a lot of third party games will be left out.
