Don't worry. Despite the shock probably caused by the title, I'm fine. I was crossing the street, the car came around the corner and hit me. Fortunately, it was stopping, but couldn't stop fast enough. My only injury was a brush burn on my left wrist (though I am a bit sore today). Got checked out at the hospital, so no internal injuries.

Anyway, to add discussion value, please describe the worst accident you've ever been in.

Compared to some mine might be a bit tame.

A chair fell on my head, it split my scalp open and I had it glued together, I spent a week painfully ripping the glue from hair ... I always was the little masochist, I pulled out the roots and all so I now have a nice little inch long scar in my hair.

I am kind of worried they never x rayed me or anything at the hospital.

I'm lucky when it comes to accidents. The worst thing that's ever happened is when I was younger I slipped and crashed into a wall. All I did was sprain my ankle...

I can honestly say i've never been in a major accident (that i can remember anyway)

The only 2 real accidents i've had in my 19 years is when i was a wee nipper i cut my head open but not to the exstent of needing surgery or anything just butterfly stitches.

or

At school when i was 16 i stupidly threw a big piece of rusty sheet metal and it cut my hand open.

My worst would also be a car accident. Smashed my skull and cost me my childhood + 2 days (not that bad since all sources agree I was miserable as a child). As losers of fights so frequently say:"You should see the shape the other guy's in." Except the other 'guy' was a car. Point is, I smashed the windshield, hood and front bumper. All with my head. Hence the brain damage. Long-term effects never properly established or ruled out due to incompetent doctors. Upside? I got ice cream and 3 weeks off from school.

A few months ago, I was cycling my bike and, I will admit, cut across in front of the car to the pavement. However, I misjudged the curb and the rocks and before I knew it I went over the handle-bars and slammed my head on a large rock.

Surprisingly, no injuries. Not even a scratch. If it's caused anything like brain-damage or whatever is something I've yet to realise.

That reminds me. One time in Year 2 me and a mate were running around the class in circles, then he just randomly ran into a bookcase at full speed...it was fucking hilarious.
Did books fall on him? Because then it would be twice the hilarity (though if the bookcase fell on him, the hilarity would be decreased 5000%)

In a car, I've rear-ended someone once, and been rear-ended once.

But only in a car.

Other than that, I've broken my collarbone in hockey, and bitten clean through my tongue.

I never get seriously injured, I just get a bit of pain here and there, but I never go to the hospital or anything xD
Right now my elbow still hurts after a little accident I had while drunk 3 weeks ago. Perhaps I should go see a doctor.

I've never broken a single bone in my body despite a childhood of falling out of trees occasionally.

Though im scarred like a son of a *****, and the truth is that the scars that still show aren't the only injuries I've gotten (due to some freakish healing powers, even a few really nasty lacerations, burns and scrapes have simply disappeared without a mark).

What's a bit sad though is that some scars aren't accidental, but damage that other people than myself have managed to inflict on me during violent moments. But hey, im still breathing so im not complaining.

Playing rugby, I got headbutted in the face. Broke my nose and I lost feeling to almost my entire face for a couple of hours. Pretty clean break though, you wouldn't be able to tell just from looking, but if you feel down the ridge you can feel the kink.

I guess I'm pretty lucky that that's the worst...

Unless we count stupid shit we did when we were really young like:
-Drinking a bottle of oven cleaner
-Sticking a button up my nose and having to have a camera inserted into my lungs
-Drinking a bottle of detergent
-Drinking another bottle of detergent

I drank a lot of detergent, fortunately it washed all the stupid out of me. XP

I've never had a broken bone, and the only accident I've ever had regarding a car is when some woman who was driving her husband's truck and didn't know how to control it properly backed into my parked car in a parking lot...while I was inside the building. Not surprisingly the insurance company pretty much determined it was entirely her fault.

As for the worst "accident," I don't know if this really qualifies as an 'accident,' but probably the time a dog (German Shepherd) attacked me (later found out the dog had stomach cancer and was a bit deranged from the pain) and bit a several inch wide gouge out of my left cheek (just to clarify: FACIAL cheek) that went all the way down to the bone. Went to the hospital, had to have a crapload of stitches, but I was pretty young and still growing, so it healed up fine (though I still have a scar there to this day). Weird part was it didn't even hurt until after the stitches were in and it was starting to heal. Another strange twist to it - it was my birthday when this happened.

Oddly enough, German Shepherds were and still are my favorite breed of dog despite that incident.

this is my injury list (o.o)

- fell of my bike into a small wooden fence
- stepped into a pretty large spike
- fell with my eye on the corner of a table
- fell with my mouth on a ceramic plate (while carrying it to the kitchen)
- somebody threw a large wooden stick to my head
- somebody threw a stone just above my eye
- fell of my bike and my bike kept sliding over the road scraping my leg over the road
- and once a car drove (slowly) over the tip of some of my toes

well... that's all (damn!) :p
