NO NO NO!

You guys are all forgetting the bestest soundtrack ever!

The Blues Brothers! Featuriting Ray Charles, Arethra Franklin, James Brown and Cab Colloway!

FTW!

Although Hans Zimmer is great (and I have a bunch of his stuff!) I think Joel McNeely out did him with the Last Of The Mohicans soundtrack!

While I don't care for the Halo series that much I have to say that I do love the music from it.

I also like John Williams work as well.

Last of the Mohicans is another movie where the music made the film in my opinion. Great film, but fantastic music. The scene where Duncan sacrifices himself is made even more harrowing ny that awesome tune, and theres so many other parts where the music just enhances everything so much :D

The stuff Shoji Meguro did for Persona 3 and 4. Personally, I think Nobuo Uematsu is overrated: one trick pony, since the only stuff you see in FF games is soft piano music and ominous Latin chants.

The Persona games on the other hand, have more variety in their soundtracks.

Well... I liked the soundtrack to Amelie, but it's not something that I would sit down and listen to. The soundtrack for The Saint movie, however, is quite awesome.

Two come to mind:

Collateral: With a mix of Miles Davis and Audioslave and a killer original score by Antonio Pinto, Tom Rothrock, and James Newton Howard, the music captures every mood and emotion in the film. Great mix altogether.

Elizabethtown: The music is an integral part of the movie. It captures that southern style without going overly country. Ryan Adams, Elton John, My Morning Jacket, and Tom Petty all contribute to make it a great mix.

For sure :D Micheal Mann always makes good use of Audioslave's music in films. Even in Miami Vice...

I'm sorry. Miami Vice? We all know Michael Mann wouldn't have a hand in that travesty.

Hans Zimmer is awesome. I can't believe only one other person mentioned the Gladiator soundtrack though, that thing is epic.

Aha, yes indeed.

*knowing wink* :p

Although for some reason, it wasn't as bad as I expected, the way people go on about it I was anticipating watching the worst film ever made...

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis

And just about anything from Zimmer.
Boy do I love that film. Best acting I've ever seen Brad Pitt do, I'm surprised it's not more well known.

Never realised Nick Cave had a part in writing the score though, he did a good job :D

As I usually say in these threads, Okami.

If you're impatient, fast forward to 3:42 on Reset.

Yeah, so please listen to them, they're all fantastic pieces and I posted different Okami songs than I usually do! Promise! But, if you only listen to one of them, let it be "We'll Always Be Together!" or "Kushinada's Determination". Hell, listen to em all. God damn how I love that soundtrack. Ooh! Or "Reset (Thank You)" That's a great song. Christ, if I could, post the entire damn soundtrack, but that would take a while, cos it's huuuuuuge.
