"He's not an Avenger. He's not an X-Man."

... Did... he ever read a single Spider-Man comic? Ever? Spider-Man has been in the Avengers, the New Avengers, the Fantastic Four (and Five), Weapon X, and he's been an honorary X-Man in several stories.

What I read: "We are hellbent on making this Spider-Man franchise work! We screened it with test audiences and everything! We know it's going to be a huge blockbuster hit and that we'll all be swimming in money!"

So... I guess we should wait for this movie franchise to sink and hopefully something more competent gets their hands on it? I mean, I love Spider-Man, but I'm not so much in love with the people behind the wheel.

Though Marvel has has better films lately then ones based on DC comic series, you'd never see Dc comics worry about getting right back to any of their characters since the're owned by Warner Brothers who has several movies studios and has the default rights to all movies and animation based on DC Comic characters... not to say they haven't done bad films (Catwoman, Supergirl, Superman 3, Man of Steel) but at least they know if the film is bad they have no one to blame but their selves, as opposed to Marvel which has their properties licensed out to several studios(Columbia,Fox,Lionsgate, Marvel Studios, New Line Cinema(who's owned my Warner by the way ,Ha!) so if a film is bad they have numerous people and studios to blame instead of taking blame themselves.

"He's not an Avenger. He's not an X-Man. He's unique and we revere that."

Translation: Spider-man is ours, and we're not gonna share him. Now watch our new movie, or we'll do yet another shitty reboot in 4 years.

Warner Bros owns DC Comics, so....duh?
DC's failure is a direct result of DC not knowing WTF they're doing.

Marvel itself hasn't failed yet. They keep knocking them out of the park. It's the assclowns who currently have the rights to their characters that keep fucking things up.
