I'm excited. I just bought myself an overclocked 780ti this morning. Finally getting another job, I decided to spoil myself a little. To some people, I just tossed $700+ out the window. To me, I just bought one of the most powerful gaming GPUs available. I haven't been this excited about a piece of hardware since I bought my first quad core CPU.

You could say I just made this thread to gloat, but that's not true. While I am a little giddy about it, I was really just curious: When have you "spoiled" yourself with a paycheck? Just buying something you REALLY wanted for a long time, something that wasn't necessary, but you got it anyway.

I know I'll probably be hopelessly drooling over benchmarks until my graphics card arrives, so I might as well read a few things while I'm at it.

I bought a motherboard and CPU with some money I saved, then used it to break my computer and fix my computer again! Switching it on after the upgrade was akin to watching a phoenix rising from a pile of ashes.

We all got a really good year-end bonus at work, so I went out and bought a MacBook Air and the S.H. Figuarts Iron Man and War Machine figures I've been eyeing up for months.

Still waiting for them to arrive from Hong Kong, I'm itching with anticipation! :D

Well, I finally splurged and bought a Mobirate. What's a Mobirate? Well, it's the morpher from Gokaiger, the series that the most recent season of Power Rangers is based on.

Long story short, they're pirates who have keys that let them turn into ANY previous ranger. And I bought this:

And yes, it comes with the briefcase in the picture, to display it.

That's a nearly-complete set of red ranger keys (only missing 3 of them). And it's got lots of other cool keys in it (notably Dragon Ranger/Green Ranger, and Dekamaster/Shadow Ranger. I really wanted those two.)

$200 after shipping, but totally worth it in my book, if only because that briefcase is going to make for an absolutely bawler display method.

After studying for 6 years I'm finally in a proper job for a few months now. First had to pay for a lot of stuff that just had to be payed anyway like new furniture and the like such that I'm only in possession of money to spare since last month...and, well, I blew some 450? on an extended 5 day weekend back with my family and friends on booze, food and the trip itself..... And this month...well....

Hello brand-new, ridiculously overpowered, ultra-fancy smartphone [http://www.tomshardware.com/news/samsung-galaxy-s5-specs-benchmarks-review,26426.html]....

I've been waiting for a thread like this to talk about how I saved $70 on the Dark Souls II Collectors Edition. The box was slightly damaged, and there were about four on Amazon for $80, then I found one that was $58. Which means I basically I got everything for the normal price of the game.

Also one time I went and bought an $80 Jehuty action figure. It wasn't worth it due to me not being able to position it to look cool :(

I am going to wait for the 880 before I upgrade.

OT: $650 for a Galaxy Note 3 was the last thing I spent heavily on.

Last month I rebuilt my mountain bike.

BOS suspension front and rear, XT drivetrain and some Renthal bars and grips, new bearings, rebuild kit for my seat post and some new tyres since the old ones were shredded.

It's a good way to blow through a couple thousand quid I can tell you...

In the mean time, this month I am living on beans.

I did a horribly shameful thing with my paycheck. I went into Ikea for a lamp and came out with a load of shit I don't need. I don't know what I've become!

I thought about waiting, but I'm an impatient bastard. The 780ti is more than enough for now, and will probably be damn fine for a while at least. I upgrade every two years or so. (sometimes earlier if something bad happens)

I just splurged on a new desktop with an AMD fx6300 hex core @ 3.5G each, and 16 gigs of ram(1600 speed), a 650 watt psu, and a 1 TB HD for $500 with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. Then I bought a Radeon R9 280X ASUS(factory overclocked) brand gpu from Newegg for the new PC. It is a comparable card to a NVidia GTX 770, but only cost me about $245 after shipping and taxes. So I'm pretty happy. Got a beast gaming machine for about $750. Now I need to save up for a worthy monitor for it so I can upgrade from this old 22" lcd dell widescreen(not that its at all bad).

All thanks to a larger than usual paycheck and a tax return.

I'm awful for buying clothes.

Dresses, leggings and skirts are my downfall.

Also wigs. After trying to stuff my seventh wig in my wig drawer I realised I have a problem (Yes, I have a drawer solely for my wigs, I should have clocked on earlier).

A skirt arrived this morning actually which is an Angelic Pretty copy and that cost me £50 because I don't get paid enough to splash out £100s on a real one ;_; I felt super cute in it though so it's okay ;)

Obviously I sink a lot of money into my cosplays too but I hand make all mine so they cost a fraction of the price.

With one of the few bonuses that my store has gotten in the last few years (big box retailer) I bought a mini-fridge for my room and a soundbar for the living room television. And another time a spent ninety dollars on the the Director's Cut dvd box-set of Evangelion. Though my biggest splurge was spending my paycheck (along with a 'twenty percent off one purchase' voucher that I got for working on Thanksgiving) to buy my first X-box 360.

I can blow a lot of money on booze. After my rent and bills come out ive usually still got a lot to play with plus i usually have a reservoir in my account to prevent me from going overdrawn. I can still spend a lot on a night out especially on millionaires weekend (weekend after payday). When i was only the dole I could easily spend my whole giro in a night

P.s. dont get hammered and get suckered into a strip club. Its a massive waste of money but they are open after the clubs close so thats how they get ya

I blew almost £500 on festival tickets last month, it was ok seeing as most of my bills were paid and my rent for once didn't fall between paydays so I had £500 spare. Yeah, it was a lot of money but I like festivals.

I worked a crazy number of hours over the Christmas period one year (I worked in a chocolate shop. Busy doesn't even begin to cover it) so my paycheck at the end of the month was about double what it usually was. I treated myself to my phone (Samsung Galaxy S3), which was a massive step up from my previous, very basic one. I prefer to buy phones outright rather than sign up to a contract, so it was about £400.

I've been saving for months from money I raise outside of work, but I just bought a second car. Literally I pick it up this weekend. It's going into my dad's garage, up on jacks, while I tear it apart and rebuild it.

Up until now the all mechanical work I could do on my car was limited to small stuff, since it's my daily driver, but now I can run wild.

Before I settled on getting the car though, I was seriously debating on building a new computer, around $900 (including a new monitor). My current one is 4 years old now, still holding up well enough for stuff I play though.

Hope everyone has a good time with their purchases.
