Sooooooo, has anyone else who completed HotS feel like Blizzard is making this up as they go along. Specifically I'm talking about how about half way through the campaign you pretty much undo the ending of WoL.

To try and add dramatic tension between Raynor and Kerrigan as well as a reason for her to have a conscience despite still being leader of the zerg, which she clearly didn't have during her previous tenure as Queen of Blades.Eric the Orange said:The Madman said:snipOK, then why did they remove kerrigans zerg parts at the end of WoL then return it in this game?
Pretty much this. It seems obvious they are going for a "factions united against a common foe" theme, and that just wouldn't be possible with Brood War era Kerrigan running the Zerg. Before she was a bloodthirsty psychopath. Now she's a bloodthirsty psychopath with a heart of gold! The Madman said:To try and add dramatic tension between Raynor and Kerrigan as well as a reason for her to have a conscience despite still being leader of the zerg, which she clearly didn't have during her previous tenure as Queen of Blades.
Corny but it makes sense.
I'd say more a heart of Bronze... ish. She still doesn't seem to have much of a problem killing people, just now she has the good graces to feel bad about it.BloatedGuppy said:Pretty much this. Regarding the slaughter of the protoss. It makes sense in context, as I do not believe that the protoss(aside from Zeratul, who seems to be the most forgiving being in all of existence) would even try to take the diplomatic approach with a being who now commands the race that killed most of their people, and corrupted their Home world. They were going to send a fleet of ships to kill you(, and since the diplomatic approach was impossible, the only way was to silence them. Grim, yes. An unfortunate necessity however.Auron said:She looks infested now but different and she clearly kept her mind this time, she was an evil ***** up until the ending in Wings. It's sad that she becomes kind of a monster again but you wanna know whose fault it is? Zeratul, he convinced Raynor she needed to survive and he gave her the Zerus coordinates telling her to do what she did.
I actually really liked some references, Zerus is talked about in the first Starcraft manual when they explain the Zerg's origin. It was never made clear what happened to the planet and the feral zerg thing sounds like a bit of a stretch but it makes some sense, the Duran thing didn't settle to well with me though, I was expecting to see him in his Duran identity again, this is all assuming he really was Narud(which every single clue points towards to the point of obviousness.) and is really dead(which can be doubtful.) of course.
Stukov's reappearance was really nice, just when you think they completely forgot a character.
The new units are great and the MLG was awesome by the way, expecting great things out of the balance team in these next seasons.
PS - the Slaughtering of the Protoss made absolutely no sense at ALL. She could have talked to them. -_-
That line actually made me physically cringe the first time I heard it.Zhukov said:At least it wasn't as corny as "It's time to kick this revolution into overdrive" though.
