I'm kind of happy for this.
As long as it isn't a digital only title, I'm willing to pick it up.
FFX2 was one of the funnest FFs I've ever played.

Yes, FFX-2 was great fun.
Everyone who railed on it just seemed to obsessed with the fact they had to play a bunch of girls.
I did however, dislike all three characters were essentially identical. Same base stats, same stats when Dressphere equipped, no unique items. Since Rikku is Al Bhed she should've been more proficient with Alchemy, Gun Mage, Thief than anyone else, Paine should've been a stronger D.Knight, Berserker etc.

Since I still have a PS2 and most of my FF games collecting dust somewhere, I'm not forking (dongles, lol!) out for another copy of the game. Until FFX looks as bad as FFVII does now I am happy to play the original. But if it keeps a few fans happy or introduces new gamers to the series then great, they will have a prettier version to look at but that laugh will always be awkward.
People always measured the voice acting of FFX by the laughing scene... That laugh was supposed to be that way, unsure why so many people don't get why it was bad acting, but rather purposely bad laughing (it's exactly the same in the JP version). Context is lost on most teenagers that played on release I suppose.
