Have you had one? If so, what was the scariest part of the situation? Pretty simple thread here.
I had one once, she was mentally handicapped (no offense to anyone who is), and she was larger than me, physically. Scared me. She left 27 messages in about half an hour on my cell. Scared me more. I had a buddy of mine talk to her, and she stalked him instead. Last I heard... they were a relationship... Scared me a lot to hear that, hah.

So, Escapist, have YOU had something like this happen to you?

No, thank god. I could never understand the mentality of stalkers. Despite what Twilight tells you, stalking does not equal love. It's not endearing, it's just creepy.

Well, I believe that some person stalked me. They would randomly send me messages over XBOX Live, and even sent one saying "see? I didn't stalk you while I was in Toronto!" To me, that sounds like she's making it out to be in an accomplishment...

And the methods I have used to track people down have led to people calling me a stalker. I'm not a stalker, just resourceful.

Well there were a whole bunch of em I met at the Chernobyl NPP, they were always telling me to get out of here and put my shooter away.

OH WAIT! Wrong Stalkers. My bad. :p

Yes, I have had one or two before but I handled it well, at least I say it was well because I got them to stop fairly promptly. I had on girl who had a huge crush on me through all of 7th grade and I never found out until at least halfway through the year, in which case it started becoming incredibly awkward. She even knew my home phone number...

I let it down easy though and we were both able to go our separate ways. It worked out quite well actually, we are still good friends today, strangely enough.

I had one other case of a stalker but that's nothing I will go into detail over now.

I've got one now kinda. I study drama at uni and while we were putting on a production, one of the girls had a huge crush on me. Around the same time, I broke up with my girlfriend because I was in a weird place, a bit confused and a bit stupid. Anyway, when this girl heard that I was single she went batshit crazy and kept pestering me to hang out with her, so I did. We then started seeing each other and after two weeks it became apparent that she was a total psycho, like emotionally crazy and scary, so I ended things with her. Now she just keeps texting me constantly and inviting me to parties she's going to or begging me to spend time with her. She makes me shudder

That's so true.

Oh God, I don't wanna talk about it... o.o
LOL. A friend of mine actually went out with a girl who stalked him. And she tied him to her bed... and her mom helped. Then, they spiked his drinks and locked him in their house for about 15 minutes. He broke a window and I believe the girl and her mom were arrested.

And also, my ex, who cheated on me, stalked me after I broke up with her. (Sarcastically:) Fun, fun, fun stuff.

Oh hell yea I've had stalker problems, was sitting around minding my own business making some money, when 20 of them of blink off a cliff and they started killing my workers! /end starcraft 2 joke

OT: No I haven't, but my best friend has had a few and it was truly a frightening experience even though I was just an observer. One of them turned into a complete psycho and tried to get him arrested and committed to an asylum.

I have been stalked a couple of times, neither time disturbed me over much. The last one left presents on my door step. Like a cool crystal globe that now sits in my room in case I ever need to hurl it at someone.

I had one stalker, once.

Just after I turned 18, a friend from Uni took me out to a gay bar. There I had much to drink, and apparently started flirting with this guy. Anyway, my friend tells me nothing happened, and I trust him. The guy I was flirting with, however, proceeded to then spend the next 3 months constantly trying to add me on stuff like MSN, Facebook, other stuff like that. And he'd send me e-mails constantly, all of which claimed that he and I had shagged, despite me knowing we hadn't.

Needless to say it was VERY creepy. Eventually he just...stopped. The scary part is, I NEVER give out my personal details to strangers. Not even when I'm drunk, I just don't. Never have, never will, so the fact that this guy found me despite ONLY having my first name to go on was a little unsettling.

Then again the name 'Angel' isn't exactly that common, but still. Freaked me the fuck out.

EDIT: Also when I saw this thread I thought it had something to do with Russia.

We had a slightly stalkery neighbour when my parents moved to Eire and I stayed in England for uni, he would find out if people were in on facebook, check to see if cars were in, then walk into the house without knocking and chat to people.. boundary issues ahoy!

I should have titled it better, honestly. However, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and "stalker"... kind of different.
