1. I love stand-up provided it doesn't suck (most of it does suck).

2. My favorite stand-up comedian alive today is easily Eddie Izzard. He's also my favorite tomboy transvestite.

3. Mitch Hedberg is one of the funniest and cleverest men to ever live. He's also my favorite druggie.

4. Larry the Cable Guy. He's offensive, annoying, completely unfunny and an enormous phony.

5. See above.

6. I developed some material I was happy with and gave it a shot. People laughed and it went okay. Definitely not the career for me though.

1. I absolutely love stand up.
2. It's kind of a toss, between: Patton Oswalt, Lewis Black, and Daniel Tosh.
3. See 3.
4. Dane Cook, I don't find him unfunny, just kinda meh.
5. 4.
6. I've never tried it officially, though my friends think I should.

1. Standup is fucking funny.
2. Ralphie May. A very funny fat man. I've seen him several times.
3. Richard Pryor (spelled right?)
4. Sarah Silverman. She is just not funny. Ever. At all.
5. Still Sarah Silverman.
6. No I have not.

1. Great, platform of intelligence and talent
2. Near impossible to say. Chris Rock? The big ones are getting undermined by the little ones. Listening to someone you are unsure about, who turns out awesome, is more rewarding than discovering new music. And I love music
3. Bill Hicks? Ed Byrne? No idea
4. Jim Davidson
5. Any of the far right wing stuff. That's not funny
6. No, tempted to though. Written some stuff, not sure if my improv is good enough though

favs are (in no particular order)

Dave Chappelle
Gabriel Iglecias (Hercules Hercules)
Redd Foxx (in Sanford and son even better than stand up)
Craig Ferguson (didn't see much stand up of him but he is just made for the late late show...and the monolouge is kind of a stand upish thing isn't it?)

@Karloth FU** yeah i love trailer park boys....CO**SU****

1. I like it. It is not exactly the funniest thing I know, but it is a lot funnier than doing nothing.
2. I don't know.
3. Does George Carlin count as a stand up comedian?
4. I don't have any.
5. See 4.
6. No. Edit: Some of my friends have said that I would make a good one though, because I don't normally laugh of my own jokes. Actually, I don't laugh very often at all.

3. George Carlin (no contest)
4. Dane Cook (Carlos Mencia has made two, but just two, funny jokes; Cook has made none)
5. Dane Cook
6. Not happening.

1. What is your opinion on it in general? I love it, I think it's a great way of delivering humour.
2. Favorite comedian alive today? Eddie Izzard!
3. Favorite Comedian Ever? Eddie F**king Izzard!!
4. Least favorite comedian alive today? Most of the rest of them.
5. Least favorite comedian ever? Again, I find very few "real" stand-up comedians funny.
6. Have you ever tried stand up comedy? How did that go? I haven't tried yet, but I'm definately going to. Just have to work on my stagefright.

1. What is your opinion on it in general?
Can't get enough.
2. Favorite comedian alive today?
Probably Lewis Black.
3. Favorite Comedian Ever?
George Carlin, hands down.
4. Least favorite comedian alive today?
Fuck if I know. I don't remember much of anything I hate.
5. Least favorite comedian ever?
See above.
6. Have you ever tried stand up comedy? How did that go?
I'd like to, but I'm scared of telling jokes and being met with complete silence (or booing and tomatoes) so I'll stick to forums and my close circle of friends.

1. What is your opinion on it in general?
I like it, but have only seen it on YouTube videos really, they're not a big thing around here in Serbia.
2. Favorite comedian alive today?
Robin Williams. The man is so awesome in just about every respect.
3. Favorite Comedian Ever?
George Carlin. RIP :(
4. Least favorite comedian alive today?
N/A
5. Least favorite comedian ever?
N/A
6. Have you ever tried stand up comedy? How did that go?
Naw, not the type. I mean I try to amuse whatever company I'm in, but standing up in front of a bunch of strangers is reeeeaaallly not my thing :p

"What is your opinion on it in general?"
I think to laugh is to express joy in such a way as to make it contagious to others.
However the method to get the initial laugh is really a matter of preference and taste.
"Favorite comedian alive today?"
I don't know, I don't know many comics. Whatever. John Cleese.
"Favorite Comedian Ever?"
Victor Borge, the Prince of Dennmark who could play piano backwards and upside down. At it would make you laugh. That or Abbot & Costello.
"Least favorite comedian alive today?"
Jeff Dunham.
"Least favorite comedian ever?"
There probably have been lots of comedians who I would not have liked. I don't know.
"Have you ever tried stand up comedy? How did that go?"
Not well.

1. What is your opinion on it in general?
I love it, watch it every chance I get, it's like a sport to me.

2. Favorite comedian alive today?
Probably either Eddie Izzard or Mike Birbiglia. Izzard's just hilarious, and a lot of Birbiglia's material comes from him being awkward, something i get on a deep level.

3. Favorite Comedian Ever?
Birbiglia's still a contender here, but i'd either him, Mitch Hedberg(may he rest in peace), or Bill Engvall. Also, not my favorite comedian ever, but some of Bill Cosby's stand-up is hilarious.

4. Least favorite comedian alive today?
Probably any comedian who uses stereotypes to be funny. here's a short list of my least favorites:

Kat Williams(although occasionally he has something funny to say)
Ralphie May
Russell Peters

5. Least favorite comedian ever?
Carlos Mencia, for the whole 'stealing jokes' thing and he takes the stereotypical comedy i hate so much and just RUNS with it.

6. Have you ever tried stand up comedy? How did that go?
Not quite, as i'm still in High School, but i'm planning on it.

1. I absolutely love it, it is probably my favorite kind of comedy.
2. Ricky Gervais, followed by Eddie Izzard and Russell Peters.
3. George Carlin. Favorite comedian and probably my first real idol.
4. I'd probably say Carlos Mencia. Haven't seen a massive amount of his stuff, but not impressed by what I saw.
5. See above.
6. I once stood on a stage and read jokes that were not mine when I was eight if that counts. ^^ Went fairly well. I have considered trying it as an adult, but it's probably not going to happen.
