You mean his remark on the dancing mini game? Yeah, if that had been a clear third party parody, people would have creamed for it.Mimsofthedawg said:Over reaction much?Gabanuka said:

If this was a third party who made this sort of spoof, you'dpeople would probably be absolutely fine with it - excited with it. Think Robot Chicken and Family Guy, only a dedicated series that also happens to be produced by a first party.
I can't say I'm super excited about this because it seems to be almost a comedy for younger audiences. But still. The over-reaction from the star wars fanbase is hilarious.
EDIT: I was gonna mention/find an article where Moviebob delves into this topic but I'm too lazy. needless to say he does. You should find it for me. lol.
It's Star Wars. I'm sure there were people who got angry when Knights of the Old Republic was announced because it was taking place in a completely different era from the established one we already knew. People got angry at Anakin Skywalker being characterized as a pissy, angry teenager when his character was supposed to be at the age of being a pissy, angry teenager who had lived in slavery his whole life, and whose mother was still a slave after his own freedom had been bargained for. And then he watched her die in his arms. If that's not reason enough to be angsty, then I don't know what is.Demon ID said:I like it, I honestly really like it and I'm happy the Robot Chicken lot are doing this. Sure it's art styles not amazing but I think I'll adjust to that quickly and find myself laughing.
I'm surprised some people seem so angry at this to be honest.
Very true, it's interesting how much rage star wars can whip up in people especially if it seems geared towards a younger audience.shrekfan246 said:It's Star Wars. Yeah, this looks like it's just Robot Chicken Star Wars: For Kids! so I don't see anything wrong with it. And it's not done by Lucasfilms. And it's not the worst thing we've ever seen happen to Star Wars.
That's because self-parody doesn't work all that often.Mimsofthedawg said:If this was a third party who made this sort of spoof, you'dpeople would probably be absolutely fine with it - excited with it. Because of how painfully unfunny it is? It wouldn't be bad if it wasn't for that.Froggy Slayer said:I don't get why people are so pissy. Why is Star Wars the only franchise that isn't allowed to self parody?
