If this is a real trailer (I have my doubts) then it probably aired on Cartoon Network or Disney Channel or some other child oriented network.
It makes good business sense though. The people who already know about Star Wars (i.e. Adults with the original movies or young adults with episodes 1-3) don't need to be resold on Star Wars. Chances are they already knew it was coming out in 3D. So in the marketing meetings when the inevitable question of "how can we generate the most profit?" comes up, the answer is almost always "bring in NEW customers along with the old ones."
Why advertise to people who (based on the general actions of the Star Wars fanbase) have already decided whether or not they're going to see it? If this is a real trailer and a real advertisement for the movie, then I say good job. This is the most logical thing LucasArts has done in a while.
