"Next time I will remember to bring enough that we might play a few rounds of Pazaak." He joked as the droids began their work, turning of his saber as he spoke.
Six hours later the lines were in place and they were ready to descend. He took hold of one of them and got into the proper position for their use before speaking.
"Thank you for your aid, hopefully the rest of your plan will go as well as what you have done so far." With that he held the right trigger and began his descent. As he descended an unnatural chill took over, which was something he expected delving into something like this. In his experience sith temples had usually had some malevolent energy or other to them, but what was unexpected was the feeling of being judged for something. Usually that feeling had come from those who had come with Lampay, not the building itself. Yet here he was, feeling like he was under the gaze of a master yet again.
Going further he remained silent and tried to focus on everything that was happening. This place held mysteries to it, long forgotten in their specifics yet well remembered in their darkness and dangerous capacity. The very energy of the building as he continued lower thrummed with power and malevolence. It was enough to inspire fear in many, and would have been enough to drive many sith into giving into the almost intoxicating power within, but in Lampay's case curiosity far outweighed it. He wanted to know exactly what brought about this energy, and what he was still being judged for. For once he was somewhat glad to have been trained a Jedi, his training offering enough control over himself that he could block out the power of the outside just enough that he was not being overwhelmed. Though even with his control it was most certainly difficult to adequately focus on his surroundings without to some extent being consumed by him.
Even now he heard screams of pain and shouts of fury, he knew the sounds were coming from inside his own head. Though as the descent continued he came more and more to hope that was the case as the dark power of the force continued to envelope him and threaten to claim him whole.
