Thats the worst advice anyone has ever given anyone else. Start with episode 4, ignore 1, 2 and 3 they should never of happenedNimcha said:I'd advise you to start with Episode 1.

First of all, it's "should have". Second of all, watching the story in chronological order makes sense.cWg | Konka said:Thats the worst advice anyone has ever given anyone else. Start with episode 4, ignore 1, 2 and 3 they should never of happenedNimcha said:I'd advise you to start with Episode 1.
Nah, I don't think they're "the best thing ever", but they are an important cornerstone of both the sci-fi genre and films in general. I love LOTR as well. ;-)orangebandguy said:They are nice movies, but not the best thing ever. I like them, but to me they are just regular movies. Maybe I am more of a LOTR geek.Moonpig123 said:Well I wasn't alive when any of the original trilogy came out and I love them.orangebandguy said:They aren't really good unless you were alive during the hype period when they came out.
If you take a step back and look, you see it's not so amazing. It's like me having an over inflated opinion of cartoons I watched as a child. Because they mean something to me.They just capture my imagination, it's as simple as that.
But we can all agree the new ones are shitpiece. ^^
chronological order you say? ok I shall agree here is the order to watch themNimcha said:First of all, it's "should have". I said to watch the story in chronological order. Not the release dates.cWg | Konka said:chronological order you say? ok I shall agree here is the order to watch themNimcha said:First of all, it's "should have". A New Hope : 1977
The Empire Strikes Back : 1980
Return of the Jedi : 1983
The Phantom Menace : 1999
Attack of the Clones : 2002
Revenge of the Sith : 2005
Well... technically, chronologically could be considered the order in which they were released. Besides, 4, 5 and 6 are just much better movies.Nimcha said:First of all, it's "should have". Noone's making you watch them :/Onyx Oblivion said:Look. I never saw The Original Trilogy. (That's capitalized, right?)
Okay. That's a lie. I saw them all when I was 4-5 years old. But you can't really enjoy a movie at that age. It's all 'splosions and wazer wifles. I can't remember a single scene. But I've basically never seen them.
In fact, the movies' myriad descriptions fail to interest me enough to even bother watching them. Period. The plot twists have long become common domain, no longer even considered spoilers.
Why should I watch these movies I hold no interest in?
JUST BECAUSE? Really?
This sentence is like saying George Foreman was the worst thing to happen to the George Foreman grill. You do know that George Lucas wrote Star Wars, right?GamesB2 said:I've lost all interest in Star Wars and I feel George Lucas was potentially the worst thing that ever happened to it
He changes and butchers his own work so much he should be taken away and shot. Plus episodes 1 2 and 3... just no.Gaz6231 said:This sentence is like saying George Foreman was the worst thing to happen to the George Foreman grill.
