*steps out into the hall, finds Templar dead with Larenxis leaning over him.*

"Christ! What the hell is going on in this station? All this time we're spending dealing with murders and death, and we could be finding a way to get on with the excavations. Just a goddamn shame the Confederacy left us nothing but spooks and drunks to guard our research. Just a goddamn shame."

*Storms out of the hall, but not before spitting on Templar's corpse.*

"Just a goddamn shame..."

First Lynching:
No one was at ease that day. In a crowed gathered together they all looked over the Firebat?s corpse.

E.S Killion looked around at everybody, ?The Ghosts were sent in here during the late stages of the mission. We have no idea what they were briefed about.?
Galt spoke up, ?So that?s it? We have been reduced down to ?witch burning.? I for one will take no part of this. You soldiers can do what it is you do the best. I will reside to my quarters and do something productive with me time. You children have fun.? Jonathan Galt left the room.

G.H stood in the middle of the crowed. ?If I were to start killing you, and believe me, right now I wouldn?t have a problem with that idea, I wouldn?t try and pathetically cover it up by making it look like a damn suicide!?
?It makes sense though,? C.P.L added, ?We me and P.R couldn?t detect you.?
?You don?t talk to anyone, not even your other Ghost friends. I think you?re the killer,? Rob, the Goliath pilot added in.

?That?s it!? G.H then snapped! He drew his pistol and aimed it E.S Killion. ?I bet it was you all along! You would want a Ghost?s corpse to dissect, wouldn?t you?! Being the smart mind that yours is, you knew you couldn?t just kill a Ghost you had to turn the whole crew against me!?

?Steady on,? Davies said. ?No one wants to get hurt.?

Suddenly the Ghost dropped his pistol and blood began to pour out from under his armpit. C.P.L emerged from under his cloak holding G.H while digging his knife under his arm.

The ghost dropped to the floor. Blood began to drain from him. Larenxis rushed over to his side but the C.P.L stopped him.
?No need to patch him up doc. He?s gone.?

P.R stood there still. ?When the Confederacy hears about this they?re not going to be happy. They will ask to many questions. Everyone agree a Protoss stabbed him during the battle??

No one answered. Everyone knew that what just happened, no one could talk about.
?We, we better get rid of these bodies,? Larenxis said as he got to his feet.

It was done. It was over.

Rules: You killed off G.H the Ghost. Everyone seemed a bit twitchy around him. Was he the killer? Only time will tell.

*Galt is sitting at a console in his lab, Futar is curled up besides him. It would be quite the homey scene if it weren't for the body suspended in a life-support tank. The semi-conscious Protoss had been a gift of sorts from the base's previous commanding officer.*

"Ah, I don't understand it Futar, how is it so easy to destroy life, yet so damn hard to perfect it? The zerg, they have the right idea, or at least whatever hive mind controlling them does. Splicing and recombining genes until you've reached the goal, the perfect blend of sentient life."

*Futar twitched in his drug-induced sleep. The sedatives had to be administered daily or he'd revert back to a feral mindset.*

"The Protoss helix is a tough nut to crack. Sequences we'd thought impossible pop up with unnerving frequency. There must be a pattern to it, I'm just looking at something too small, perhaps some sleep would help."

*Galt walks over to the small stasis cylinder, sets the timer, and steps in.*

'Well that's three down' P.R thought to himself. Actually more like 237 down, over $98,000,000 worth of damage and a whole feild of debrie to clean up. 'My superiours are going to be a little pissed but at least the Protoss have been sent packing and things are wrapped up here, so all in all, a job well done.'

*C.P.L. had left the medical complex and was seen pacing in the shadows. Only a slight green hue from his ocular implants was visible, and the occasional flash of silver from his hand. He slowly slides the blade's edge of his freshly used hunting knife up and down the pads of his fingers, gently caressing the death it has brought upon his comrade*

I approached P.R. from behind as I re-enter the medical building, laying my left hand on his right shoulder I leaned in close and said in an oddly soft voice: "I don't feel any different, my sensory is still clogged. Do you think we made the right decision?"

"True. A jamming device maybe. Then it might not have been him. He was about to kill the scientist and was acting very jumpy. Even in the face of death a Ghost should have acted calm."

As P.R had said this he knew he was also trying to comfort himself as well.

"C'mon. The grunts are cleaning up the mess, maybe we can track down the source."

Larenxis washed the blood off his hands and sighed as he looked in the mirror. He had aged in the last hour, and his stubble was growing darker. The bodies had been dealt with, and now all he could do was hope there wouldn't be any more. He was about to reach for a book, but decided to check in on the lab instead. His boots echoed through the halls.

Second Murder:
The night was long for most. The murders had kept some of them awake. Sure, fighting an enemy was dignified. They would fight for human survival, for advancement or maybe to protect the little ground that the humans had. This had little dignity. Stabbing a friend in the back, someone who you fought next to. Three people were dead and all because of one bastard, G.H. That Ghost had what was coming to him. The next day most people seemed less cheery then usual but glad to still be alive. So much crap had been flung at them and they?ve managed to beat it all off.

Corporal Caliber didn?t want to cry. It was daylight and she was outside doing repairs to the generator. The backup one had gone down a few nights ago and she wanted to make sure this one was working well as the other was o the blitz. Everyone else had their own things to do and was too concerned in their own matters to be wondering outside here. ?No one?s her, I don?t think they?ll see,? she thought to herself. A little fact was that she had worked with the Firebat before and Alpha and her were good friends even if she didn?t let anyone know. She wiped away a small tear and started to get back to work. While everyone was arguing when Alpha had died, she sat away. She didn?t want anyone to think she was weak or anything.

Suddenly a hand struck her on the shoulder.

She jumped slightly. She turned around to see the man that had approach her, he was leaning over her on the generator.
?Why the hell do you sneak up on people like that!?? She shouted.
?Whoa easy there. I thought you might have been sad,? said the man.
?What!??
?You?ve been crying haven?t you??
?Why would I?? she said with anger in her voice.
?I knew that you two were close. I think most people saw it, but everyone was too busy trying to catch the arsehole that did this to Alpha to notice you. Look, it?s always sad to lose somebody that you cared about. There?s no shame in crying over that.?
?Look, if you tell anyone about this, I?ll make sure that you will never talk again! You hear that??
The man backed away a little bit. The corporal?s fiery attitude was defiantly not just a rumor.
?Sure,? the man said walking away. ?They?ll never find out.?

The man disappeared around the corner. She sighed to herself. He was right; she did have feelings for Alpha. She turned back to the generator and noticed the explosive device planted so carefully there. The killer?

?Shi??

A loud roar shook the base. Suddenly the power blinked off! Everyone knew the generator had been hit. The sun wasn?t down yet so they could see what was going on. They all rushed to the side of the base were the generator was now in two pieces.

?Oh crap,? said Kurt with a bottle of vodka in his hand.

2nd Lieutenant Inglis stood over the chard corpse. ?It?s probably Corporal Caliber. She was working on the generator at the time. We better do a medical check to make sure; her front has been completely stripped away. Sgt Flaman, take her to Larenxis at once.?
Rob Inglis said as if taking care of the situation.
?It looks like an accident. The generator must have overheated and blown,? proclaimed C.P.L sitting by the pieces looking at it.
?No. We failed. It wasn?t G.H,? said Jason Val.
C.P.L got up, ?How do you know??
?I know my generators. If this one had overheated it would have just sparked a lot and made a really nice fireworks show, not completely have destroyed it. It has backup fuses and fans so no way could that have happened. Caliber had also a basic working of this; I made sure of it before she touched it. This was no accident.?
?You mean that the killer is still alive??

At that moment they had all realized something terrible, they had just killed an innocent man. Jason was right, this was no mere accident, and the killer was still at large. But for now they had a bigger problem, they had no power and the night was closing in.

Rules: Yeap, you guys were wrong about G.H being the killer. So now it?s that time again to vote. This time I tried to do something different from the normal rules and introduced?

Scenario 1:
The generator?s been blown. Now you have to find out some way to fix it or somehow make a new one. There?s a backup generator that shut down a few weeks ago. No one bothered repairing it because the current one was in full working order, but that?s gone out the window. Maybe someone with electronic skills might be able to patch it up. Or maybe the docking bay, full of unused vehicles could be useful. It?s gonna get cold mighty quick.

Captain Kurt, slightly drunk and shocked over the evenings events, headed down to the hanger to kill time, think a little and ultimately wear himself out. Emerging from the hallway he walked into the warehouse, put down his Vodka bottle and stared as his Siege tank. Scratched and scorched as it was, it was still a beautiful and stirring piece of machinery.
"The designers made a monstah when they designed mah baby here.." he thought, swelling with pride in his vehicle... nay, a very extension of his own body.

Climbing up the side rails and into the cockpit, he fired up the computer system and checked over the basic calibration settings - Tracks and movement: check, Transformation servos and shock bracers: check, Cannon alignment: check, Ammunition chambers and round-loaders: check.
Sitting back in the pilot's chair, he stared at the main display screen which displayed the empty hanger and the remaining active vehicles, a pair of Vulture hover cycles and a Goliath bipedal Assault Tank. There also remained two pilotless Wraiths - mightly vehicles indeed, but paling in comparison to the might of his Arclite.

"But back to tha issue at hand.." thought Kurt; there was a possible murderer amongst his comrades; three unexplained deaths within the last twenty four hours. He had seen murder before, sometimes even necessary murder of traitors, but always on the battlefield. Never had he been involved in what seems to be a conspiracy within the safety of base compounds. Shivers ran up his spine thinking about the possibilities and he left the chair and bolted the cockpit hatch securely, before returning to his seat and shutting his eyes.

"But who? Mah first guess would be Jason Val, tha Engineer. He's always hated tha war, even if he dun't talk about it; Ya can see it in his eyes. Plus he's the only one around here with a good-enough grasp o' mechanics and electronics to play around wit' somethin' like a generator without anyone gettin' too suspicious. But then again, what if it wasn't? What if someone simply put a bomb or somethin' there? Anyone coulda done that! Goddamn it, now mah brain hurts.."

"Ah think Ah may need to talk to someone else 'bout this" he concluded, before drifting off to sleep in the place he felt safest.

==========

Preliminary Accusation: As stated, I think Val did it. The only Engineer of us all, he could be the only one who wouldn't be suspected of doing anything bad to the generator if he was seen working on it. Also it seems he has the greatest knowledge of machinery and electrical systems and could pull off something like this.

'Well someone has definatly cut the power. Alright for now but in ten hours this piece of shit rock, which I'm now getting tired of, goes to below freezing. A murderer is on the lose and I must admit he has managed to trick everyone so far, well at least we know he's a guy now.' The Ghost thought to himself. 'We better rap this one up quickly.'

*Dr. E.S. Killion walks in after a long session with G.H*

"Well, shit."

*Killion starts to look sick*

"I... I'm just gonna go take a look at that secondary generator now... Nuclear right? Uhh, dumb question. Well, see ya, I guess."

*The scientist makes it just around the corner before the retching sounds start.*

Larenxis was walking down the hall when the power went off.

"Oh shit."

He rushed into the medical ward to check on his equipment. All the lights were off, but the room was lit eerily by some glowing jelly he had in a jar. He shook the jar and the room grew brighter.

"Hey Doc," Sgt Flaman said, with the Corporal draped in his arms.

"Something happen with the generator?" Larenxis asked, placing Caliber gently on the table and going over her with his laser scanner.

"It exploded, if that's what you mean."

"And we still haven't fixed the back-up generator?"

"Yep."

Larenxis sighed, and put a sheet over what was left of a woman. "It's a bit too late for her. We're lucky though. I have training in how to function without electricity, so if something less lethal happens to someone, they stand a chance. Although these days it seems like everything is lethal..."

The two men stood in the room, watching the light of the jelly on the sheet.

"Have you seen the Staff Sargent recently?" Asked Larenxis, lowering his brow.

*The stasis field around Galt dissapates. He falls to the floor with a heavy thud. As consciousness claims him, he notices the power is out. Slowly, he realizes that his test subject is dead. Hysterical, he rushes out of his quarters and straight into the sick bay.*

"You bunch of bullet heads can't keep the damn lights on anymore? What the hell happened? Don't you people know what a back-up is? Thanks to that damn engingeer, all my work on the Protoss is gone! I just hope that excavation site clears up soon."

*Galt takes notice of the body*
"Is that...another one? Christ people, all this death and still no suspect?"

E.S Killion re-enters.

"I checked out the generator and it doesn't look like it's in terrible shape. I should have it running at half power by tomorrow morning. I just need parts from this generator. But first... Can I borrow Futar, Galt? Someone needs to clean this...body..up, and it's the least I can do, since... I don't think things would have ended the way they did with GH had I not accused him. But I'm the only one here except the missing Jason Val who can fix that generator, so I'd like to get it done with quickly."

P.R comes to check up on Killion.

"Is the generator done yet? I'm pretty sure we could try to attch some of the unused motors together to maybe pump some more juice into this thing."

Out of Charcater- Also, it would make it just a bit easier to writ some of the stories if you guys could make who you're voting for a little bit clearer, Thanks. The Lynching happens this afternoon (it's morning here now so you can get an idea)

"It's operable, but don't expect too much from it. I was in a hurry and had limited supplies after all. With the motors and a bit more time I can get us up to 75% power, but more is impossible without Val around to make us some parts. Where the hell is that guy? I don't suspect him, but... Well, it doesn't matter I guess. It's that Captain Kurt that's bugging me. If anyone here is a murderer, it'd be him. I don't think he even cares WHO he's killing, as long as he's killing. But after last time... I just don't know."

OUT OF CHARACTER- My vote is for KurtNiisan, just in case that wasn't completely clear, PurpleRain.
