Work would frown upon Starforge, methinks.

I will, tomorrow evening when I have time, I am not going to sleep at all tonight, procrastination has dropped a bomb on me today! >.<BloatedGuppy said:Sweet, you'll have to let me know how it is.lRookiel said:I have, and yes it is now working ^^

Minecraft is great. I agree with your analysis of it. this game has potential though.Limecake said:The beauty of minecraft was it's relatively simple nature with a fair amount of depth. It allowed you to easily pick it up but you could lose yourself for hours.
This game doesn't appeal to me, the modern graphics aren't a big selling point for me. I just thought it was funny when they described 'realistic physics' when falling or being hit.
I'm pretty sure when I fall down my legs don't have a seizure.
A small price to pay for the overall experience me thinks ;3BehattedWanderer said:the wonky camera is kind of off-putting. Guess I'll put it on the watch list, for the moment.
If it stops responding, just give it a minute. Did it to me too. It's kinda choppy for me. FPS isn't awesome but its an alpha.M-E-D The Poet said:Bah it doesn't work on my pc for some reason and I've got a pc that should be able to run it easily ><
hate that.
Good to know, thanks for the update. Shame about the chop. Even a little chop can make even the best game feel like an absolute chore. Hopefully that's something they can get sorted.attackshark said:i played the demo. not too much fun at this point. everything is really choppy, even on low settings, and i'm not exactly running on a dorito over here. the controls are wonky, but you can adjust the camera accordingly. no save data, either, so get a screen cap of that base. space travel has not been implemented in said demo, which was kind of disappointing, and the demo also does not include procedurally generated anything. still, the idea is pretty sweet and i do realize it's just a demo of the alpha.
keep an eye on this one, i suppose.
Today's hardware limitations are tomorrows low system requirements, mind you. Even Minecraft can be a bit of a pig on some machines, especially when it was new.Tadman said:I think this is amazing, but the thing about Minecraft is that it runs on EVERYTHING. It runs on computers that are made from the year 2001. Meaning anyone can buy minecraft. This, on the other hand, has hardware limitations.
well it gives me the launcher when I then press play, I just get a black screen and it sticks with that, I tried the usual variations of start up and tried adjusting the settings, nothing helped.Soopy said:If it stops responding, just give it a minute. If you dig through the planet you just end up falling out of the sky next to where you dug through. I haven't sussed anything else yet.
That is normal. You have to let it sit on the black screen. It said it takes a while to implement everything. It will start the game eventually. Depends on how powerful your computer is.M-E-D The Poet said:well it gives me the launcher when I then press play, I just get a black screen and it sticks with that, I tried the usual variations of start up and tried adjusting the settings, nothing helped.Soopy said:If it stops responding, just give it a minute.
