Looks interesting, I like how streamlined the building of structures is and the physics oh god physics looks so much fun! I think I'd spend all my time in this game trying to see how far I could rag doll myself.

Looks in very early stages indeed. But looks freaking promising if they get it right and polish it up lots. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this.

Yeah, I read this earlier. It sounds cool, and it's free, but I don't think it'd be my type of game.

EDIT: Experience has been bad so far. The mirror I used, the Pirate Bay one linked in the description of the YT video, has no executable file, so I have to go through reinstallation every time I want to open it up.

It's been crashing. Not the black screen that takes a bit to go away at the start, but blatant "this program is not responding" messages.

And when it does work, it's... a bit slow. Even on lower screen resolution and using faster graphic settings. Playable, but a bit slow.

(How the fuck do you delete stuff?)

EDIT2: Came back to say, this game has a very big Ace of Spades feel to it. If you haven't played it, try it for at least a half hour, it's pretty good.

That game looks pretty freaking rad, and I rarely say that about a game I haven't played. It looks like I'll have to get a new Desktop or laptop since mine are getting pretty old, but still, totally worth it for this game if it turns out to be as good as it looks. Here's hoping!

Damn it PC gaming, why are you so highly convincing that I should start you. >.<

It's only beta, so hopefully it's polished a lot more, that shaking camera looks like it's from Cloverfield e.i. it makes me sick.

A game mode inspired by Warcraft III, Minecraft and Halo you say? Those are my favourate games of each genre they're in. O_O

Terreria and Borderlands are both good games, so I'll enjoy survival mode as well.

Was thinking the other day about something I'd like to see implemented into games. The physics built into the player character's body (best way I can descibe it) was pretty much it. I'm sick of playing as a floating camera in FPS games. For example, jump out of a second floor window in COD, hurts the player, but you can still run fine. In reality you would fall over and probably break your legs. Starforge nailed that idea on the head. I especially liked the part with the first person view of the character being flung into the air, it was disorinetating, but in a fun way.

It seems ambitious but can they make it all work?
I will remain very watchful but skeptical.

Impressively ambitious - though my dream of creating a galaxy-wide end-of-civilisation simulator using beginner tutorials in Python is perhaps more so :p

I just wish they'd not gone for "realistic" graphics - as articles recently on the Escapist (Jim, for one) have pointed out, what initially looks impressively real soon fades (I can remember when Goldeneye looked great, rather than the blurry mess it is now, and when the original Halo was amazingly vibrant and incredibly detailed). Minecraft will never look worse because it is confident in its stylisation, whereas this looks like it will date fast.

That gripe aside, I like the terrain deformation and the integration of forts with functional components and resource gathering from the ground up - I would have loved it if Minecraft was designed with support for battles, infrastructure and the such like from the get-go; modders have shown it can be done, but it would be so much better if it had been part of the core game, and would drastically extend the appeal of the game to people like me :]

Going to have to try this later. If only to build a pillar into space to jump from.

Not gonna lie, the alpha offered to us here is not up to par with that trailer...
Ya, but they did say that basically a lot of those features dont really work yet, so they are offering us the thing that work best right now.

Im really really looking forward to this though. It has the potential to be amaaaaaazing.

It's made by two blokes in their spare time. It's a pretty decent achievement.
