Holy crap, that's an insanely long trailer.

This would have sold great, in the 90s.

Wait, this game is actually getting released? Well that's surprising, I was almost certain it had died somewhere in the development process after I stopped getting emails about it (I have no recollection of just why I ever started getting emails about it, just that for a while several years ago I was).

Though it says something about me that the thing I find most objectionable about this is that there is a character named Venus and one named Aphrodite. Clearly, Creative Edge doesn't know its Greco-Roman mythology.
No that up-set me too, I was at a loss for words when I saw that part of the clip.

Though I suppose mixing in real contact scenes during the middle of a battle is a nice touch no pun intended.since doing so means they've had to do it for every possible combonation.

It's like Dead or Alive, but without any male characters!

And likely lacking any solid fighting mechanics!
So its exactly like Dead or Alive. ZING!

In all seriousness (actually I do like DoA), this is horrible, and I'm ashamed at anyone who would give money to this developer, even if its just to see how bad this game will be.

You can preorder Warriors of Elysia for £14.95 on Direct2Drive), but why would you want to? You'd be online by definition, and it's not like you can't find boobs elsewhere online.
Maybe it has a really deep fighting mechanic?.

Nah only kidding, this looks like "Street Fighter The Movie: The Game", only with less Jean Claude and more boobs.

Though it says something about me that the thing I find most objectionable about this is that there is a character named Venus and one named Aphrodite. Clearly, Creative Edge doesn't know its Greco-Roman mythology.
Speaking of which!, who played God of War 3?, in this Greek Myth tour de force you fight Hercules, the Roman God of Courage!

He's called Heracles in Greek myths you dingbats!.
While you are correct, the western world knows him as Hercules in large part to the Disney film.

Edit: Isn't he a Demi-God?
Yep he's a demi god, I actually kept that in for people to go "hey ColdStorage, you got it wrong too!".

While on topic, having an indie game get something wrong you kinda let it go and put it down to them being an indie developer, but in God of War he should really be called Heracles.

Also that Disney film, huh, wasn't James Wood the voice of Hades?

Where did they find women to do something that stupid?
...

Have you never watched porn? They aren't exactly known for great actresses there.

Anyway I guess femanists finally have a game to play where all the characters are women. =] Congratulations guys, big win. ^^

I understand this thing will get attention but reporting on this seems like a slap in the face to other indie developers. There are a lot of worthwhile games that move the medium forward and ignoring them in favor of the sequel to a Bikini fighting game doesn't help the medium or any bedroom programmers trying to make a living making games; it paints this pandering image that isn't representative of indie gaming.

So I ask politely to please avoid posts like this.

All I can say is that those women look SO realistic it's scary. The poly count must be HUGE.

The fact that they got this many girls with so little self-respect makes me weep for the entire female gender.
You, my friend, are in for a plethora of surprises methinks.

Wait.......did I just see a taint smash in that video?

Pretty sure that attack is less effectve on women.

Also, while jubblies abound I think that video made me ashamed to be part of the target demographic.

So, was anyone else too busy critiquing the bad technique (for the most part) to even notice the scantily clad women? Just me? The technique was awful except a couple of them. I'm a little sad that the developer actually found women who "know" martial arts to play these parts in what they were wearing. Kind of a perversion of the arts imo.

That's so hilariously ridiculous, I'm not sure what to say! What was this developer thinking, other than to amuse? At least I hope so...

Agreed! Also because of using live action none of that shit is moving fast enough to hurt anyone.

Well that looks terrible. Makes DOAX seems like a fun "game"(yes i own that).

If you really wanna see some underdressed women fight i rather suggest finding a copy of Rumble Roses XX (for the 360) at least that is fun to play with every once in a while.
