I have found that hardcore global warming denial will make all heat related problems go away. You just aren't denying it hardcore enough.

A good way to create a nice draft is by opening doors and windows on oposite sides of your entire house. But its better to close the windows and curtains that have full sun shining on them.

And I strongly suggest you buy a fan. I dont need mine anymore because my appartment has a perfect climate throughout the year, but before I moved in here I desperately needed a fan whenever I was gaming.

live underwater

or

lots of beer

A water air cooler is the next best thing to an air conditioner.

A fan + cold beer (or water if you don't like beer [:O])+ cold shower every few hours, doesn't have to be long, just to make make you "cool" :p.

It works for me every time a hot summer attacks us here in Poland.

PS.

Two words: naked gaming.

It's the next big thing.
And what if his sitting at a leather armchair? He'd be glued to it in no time ugh...

Well, naked is always a good idea. I like to game naked, eat naked and, well, come on here naked even if its cold outside. In fact, i am in the bath as i type this and its brilliant!

Of course, if its a really nice day i would go outside and, oh i dunno, drink a beer or maybe play some gentle football (soccer). I would not be doing that naked as i can't think of anything worse than a sunburnt happy sack area.

I disagree with the open window advice. I am in the middle of a heat wave myself and with no breeze there is no point in having a window open. What I do is use a big piece of cardboard in my window to block out the sun and have a fan on. Keep all the lights off. And wait til night then I remove cardboard (just because the blinds I have don't cut it) and open all the windows. The problem is when I go outside the heat hits me like a brick.
