like $8 i think. i bought still life 1 and 2. im trying to save my money until my rent check clears, which should be sometime between tuesday and thursday. it was so hard not to buy terraria or magicka yesterday...and now i really wish i had. im so mad at steam for having so much shit i want.

i might get torchlight before todays sale ends. im getting it for the multiplayer mod. i dont know how well it works but for $3 i dont mind taking a gamble. it will be like an experiment. for science!

I have managed to keep it at around 10 so far, but it's hard. I really wanted Resident Evil 5, but I managed to avoid it (online co-op on Steam just sounds awesome). I promised myself to not buy a single game before Saints Row the Third comes out. I failed that... but I will be trying to keep it as low as possible.

Jeesus CHRIST. I have now officially stopped buying games from the steam summer sale. Just bought the DA pack AND AC: Brotherhood.

Well I'm only getting the games on the daily deals and then at the end if something I want isn't covered by then I'll get it, so I haven't spent loads yet:

Shogun 2: £17
Lead and Gold: £1
Men of War Assault Squad: £6

£24

£47 on myself, £7.50 as a gift. Day 4 has been my first financial respite, although I *am* tempted by Two Worlds Two.

I love how some games remain still stupid priced even in the sale. Activision almost never, ever reduce the prices of their games and even a year or so on, Black Ops is £40 normal price, £30 sale price? If it was £4.99, I'd consider buying it. I can understand forgoing sale prices on new releases however.

bit off topic, but i was on steam last night and spotted a post with this address,
http://cdkeysdiscount.com/20_steam-keys not actually bought anything off there yet but some stuff is even cheaper than the sales ( especially if like me you live outside the US and normally pay more in £) ie dungeon siege on uk steam is £29.99 on site its $29.99 so about £18.70 quite a diffrence.

let me know if you use the site im quite intrigued (and skint so cant buy anything myself)

I've been very vigilant when it comes to checking Steam's deals, so I've already procured a lot of games from before. I have gotten Recettear, the Truth and Beauty expansion for Spectromancer, all the Magcicka DLC, all the Just Cause 2 DLC, The Longest Journey + Dreamfall, Penny Arcade Combo Pack and Star Wars Battlefront 2. I've spent about 25? in total. I'm probably going to buy Torchlight and Transformers War for Cybertron today.

Spectromancer for 5$

Highly recommended for anyone who loves magic the gathering. It's a indie game that was created by two original creators of MTG; it's a fun little strategy card game for the price.

I haven't been affected yet, surprisingly. I was thinking about Super Meat Boy, but I didn't go for it. But there's a lot more time.
Damn out of all the games, SMB is actually gonna be the one you didn't regret buying.

It's like the Christmas sales - it's all impulse! I do not really want these games but look how cheap they are!

So far, though, I've only sent £5 on the first five GTA games. At Christmas my library increased like...threefold, and this will probably end up doing something similar....

DAMN YOOOOOU STEAAAAAAM!

Fairly little, as nowadays I try to only buy stuff that really interests me and is under 10 euros. So I ended up with the GTA Classics Pack, the Might and Magic Pack and the BIT TRIP Pack.

Combined that's around...15-ish euros I think. But the week has just started...oh boy.

I'll just offer the advice I did over xmas, if you're a lil short of cash or just want to maximise your savings. Make a list of what you want from the sale and check it daily. If it's on daily deal, grab it, if not, leave it til the final day, then you'll not have bought it and see it go from 33% to 75% off the day after you bought it :)

Really? Crap. I was on the edge about buying it, too!

Money spend on steam = $0

Fuck steam, they'll never make a dollar off of me. They screwed me over last year and yanked my whole orange box, so that bridge has long since burned.

All of the games that I really want are games that I would never get on PC because of terrible DRM, like Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Sadly this means that when I do get them for console I'll end up paying almost twice as much for them than if I got them at this steam sale.
Brotherhood is a one time only internet activation on installation to play and I'm 99% sure that they replaced the previous constant connection on their other games with that, or just got rid of DRM on the ones with a constant connection.
