Steam is wonderful until valve disable your account and refuse to reply to support tickets and have no UK offices you can take them to a small claims court at...

I hate Steam, it's slow, it's ridiculously expensive and the downloads are very slow.
VAC is also crap, it does absolutely nothing. Support is crap, and the platform itself is hogging perfomance (on a high end pc). So overall, I don't like Steam..
It is expensive? Most of the games I have seen on there are sold for less than what they are sold for in stores.

That's strange, I'm seeing a massive white space where there might be a post from .Warheart. Maybe I could see his post if it involved something that was backed up by evidence. Until then, I guess it doesn't exist.

Nemeth does indicate one of the flaws. I've never been a target of their zero-tolerance policy but I hear it can be harsh.

Today I've seen my friend get VAC banned because he installed a console on his COD:MW2 yesterday which he already had deleted after finding out it didn't work. He gets banned for using a console while others go about and use wallhacks and other hacks. VAC = shit.

And as for prices, I guess you don't live in Europe cause we're getting priceraped here. We pay atleast 33% more than you guys do. I've compared numerous times to find out that games in $ are half the price of the games in Europe.

And the platform is so tiresomely slow. Rebooting it takes 2 minutes cause it'll just disappear and while starting it says that Steam is already running.. still taking a minute to come up.
Besides, I have a 120Mbit connection and the max I get from Steam is 20 mbit download speed tops.. amazing.

Right, and those wallhackers will get banned soon enough.

Your computer is either way too slow or your Steam install is corrupted and can be easily fixed with a 30 second two step procedure.

MORONS again who say "digital dist is the best". WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!

Please provide a more legitimate and valid reason other than "if you lose or scratch a disc then it's no good"

BTW.............EVERY BestBuy store has a great selection of games. Amazon and every other online store have phenomenal selections of games.

Granted.........digital distribution is great for the most part and convenient (especially for those whom aren't losers with credit-unworthyness), it's just STEAM that sucks.

Again......plain and simple.........Steam games are your forever and can never be re-sold or auctioned or purchased from Ebay. Personally, I like getting games from others that aren't playing them anymore and sell them for almost half. Maybe the idiots out there who just love Steam and think it's the greatest don't care to ever buy pre-owned games and enjoy the idea of keeping them forever to collect dust when you're done playing.

Get a clue Steam lovers.

Personally, I would recomend STEAM. Great prices and availability everywhere. Just don't be a moron and lose your code, but frankly, that's a small price to pay. I recently bought around 11 games on Steam and didn't spend much more than $50. No way I could get that amount of games (and that's including Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, GTA IV and the Max Payne series) that cheaply around here (Scandinavia). Steam offers relatively quick downloads, reliable servers (most of the time anyway) and a good community to find gaming buddies, if that's your thing.
