I'm quite aware of the things Mr Fry does; the man is reasonably intelligent and stands by his moral reasoning and aids such causes. Laudable but simply the mark of a reasonable and potentially interesting man not a particularly noteworthy one.bahumat42 said:Some hero worship hereUnrulyhandbag said:critical assessment of Fry here.
The way in which he aids those charities isn't particularly interesting in of itself and so only noteworthy in that he does so - as hundreds of thousands of other intelligent and morally sound people do.
Fry's fame extends from his writing and acting wit, it is his sole stand out factor in our population and his ability thereof seems to have peaked some time ago. I hope it hasn't, his charm and wit are just my kind of thing I rather like Stephens work myself and a spot of Qi is just the thing I want every now and then.
My issue isn't with the man himself but the public image he has created.
Fry for prime-minister? no, it only makes sense to keep self professed manic-depressive narcissists away from places of power. They, by very definition, cannot make decisions in sound mind and in the interest of the people.
